Texas Stars Forward Matej Blumel Named AHL Player Of The Week
Texas Stars forward Matej Blumel has been named AHL Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 2.
Blumel recorded three goals and six assists in nine games last week, notching at least two points in every game. The Stars won three of their four games and now sit atop the AHL's Central Division.
The 24-year-old now sits second in AHL goals and points with 26 and 51 in 46 games.
The Tabor, CZE., native has played seven games with the Dallas Stars this season and scored one goal while averaging 8:26 of ice time. He has two goals in 13 career NHL games.

Blumel has 76 goals and 157 points in 176 career AHL games, all with Texas.
A fourth round pick of the Stars in 2019, Blumel was an AHL All-Star last season and won a bronze medal with team Czechia at the 2022 World Championship.
