First game as ‘Cobra Chickens' secures win for London Majors
The rebrand was an April Fool's joke, but it has since become a reality starting Friday night.
On April 1st, the London Majors announced a complete rebrand.
'Starting this season, the team will officially be known as the Forest City Cobra Chickens,' a statement read.

'It all started back in October when I went to ownership and said, 'hey let's do something fun' and they said okay, and when we presented the Cobra Chickens they said, 'okay let's build on it,'' said Matt Hiscox, London Majors spokesperson.

According to the team officials, there was such a positive response to the new name and rebrand, that new jerseys and merchandise were released.
'Everyone's loving the Cobra Chickens now, it's become a phenomenon across the city,' said Hiscox.
Friday night's game saw 1,300 tickets sold before the gates opened, said Hiscox.
The London Majors sealed a victory of 2 - 1 on Friday night against the Welland Jackfish in 10-inning game at Memorial Park.
