Indonesian Rupiah Falls to Five-Year Low on Trump Tariff Worries
By and Matthew Burgess Updated on Save The Indonesian rupiah plunged to its lowest level in almost five years as worries over US tariffs sapped risk sentiment. The rupiah fell 0.7% to 16,559 per dollar on Friday, the lowest since April 2020. The currency is down almost 3% this year in the worst performance among major emerging-Asian peers.
