Man dies in shooting inside business on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard in Newport News
NEWPORT NEWS — A man was shot and killed inside a business Saturday night, according to police.
Officers responded just after 9:20 p.m. to a report of a shooting inside the Family Fare convenience store at 685 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, off Forrest Drive, according to public information officer Matthew Michalec. A BP gas station is also at the location.
When police arrived, they found 32-year-old Dreshaun Pruden, of Newport News, with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
