George Lopez shared an emotional message while facing a major career blow. On Friday, NBC announced that the 64-year-old comedian's sitcom was canceled after only three seasons and he reacted to the show ending on social media. He shared a video of his 29-year-old daughter and co-star Mayan Lopez comedically reacting to the cancellation as she lip synced to a viral TikTok sound and said: 'That was pretty f***ing rude.' He starred in the show alongside his daughter for its entire run up until the season three finale that premiered on February 7 earlier this month. On Friday, NBC announced that Lopez vs. Lopez would not be renewed for another season. This comes shortly after he left fans shocked by his long hair and disheveled appearance just three months ago. Following the news, Lopez shared his thoughts and feelings, posting his initial reaction in the caption of an Instagram post. 'We will definitely put something out officially, [but] for now, I would really love to thank all of you who have showed us so much love and support for the past three seasons,' he wrote to his 1.4 million Instagram followers. 'This wasn't just a show,' he continued. 'It was and is our lives. We created a family. We created jobs for RAZA.' He added: 'There is so much more that goes on behind the scenes and I am forever grateful and thankful for every single member of our #LopezVSLopez familia.' He signed off his emotional message as 'Tio George.' In his daughter Mayan's TikTok video, she wrote over the screen that she was reacting to 'when NBC cancels your show after 3 seasons.' Mayan, who is also a co-creator, writer, producer as well as star of Lopez vs. Lopez, also reacted to the cancellation on her Instagram Stories. She said that the cast and crew 'loved the show' and was happy that the fans did too. Following the news, Lopez shared his thoughts and feelings, posting his initial reaction in an earnest caption of his Instagram post. In addition to Lopez vs. Lopez, NBC also announced a number of cancellations. Night Court, Suits LA, The Irrational and Found were among the TV shows that were canceled, per Deadline.
