German Shepard suffers punctured lung after rollover crash
MCLEAN COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — A dog was rushed to a vet after being injured in a rollover crash in McLean County on Thursday.
The Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Fire Protection District was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash, according to a district Facebook post. When they arrived on the scene, they found an SUV on its side. Two occupants and two German Shepherds were out of the vehicle.
The driver and the passenger both suffered minor injuries. The Dogs were being given water in a McLean Police Department squad car, and one was showing signs of distress.
The dogs were taken to Timbercrest Veterinary Services in Atlanta. One of the dogs was determined to have a punctured lung and was taken to Lincoln for treatment.
According to the post, the surgery went well and the dog is ok.
