Infographic: What's Happening With PAs' Paychecks
Physician assistant (PA) compensation in the US on average rose by about 5% in 2024, to $149,000 from $142,000 a year earlier. Bigger bonuses and incentive payments were more responsible than were salary hikes. Still, the PA profession is wrestling with a gender pay gap, as a male PA on average reported about $161,000 in compensation vs $143,000 for a female counterpart, according to a new Medscape report.
