Maura Higgins is 'forever proud' of Molly Mae Hague as she rekindles romance with Tommy Fury

'Love you millions & forever' Taking to Instagram Stories, the model sent her Love Island co-star birthday wishes as she turned 26. 'Happy Birthday my special girl. Love you millions & forever proud of the woman that you are,' she captioned a black and white collage of the pair. Maura and Molly met on the 2019 season of ITV dating show Love Island. They were initially rivals as Higgins made moves on Tommy Fury who was coupled up with Molly when she entered the villa as a bombshell. Maura Higgins sent birthday wishes to pal Molly Mae Hague Fury didn't waiver, staying loyal to Molly, who went on to build a friendship with the Longford model. They since went on to welcome daughter Bambi in January 2023 and got engaged in 2023. The couple announced their shock split last August after five years together. "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,' she began an Instagram statement. "I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end. "I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. "I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. Read more "You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. "Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right.' However, the couple have since rekindled their relationship, celebrating Molly's birthday with a family trip to Disneyland, Paris. Sharing snaps of the occasion to Instagram, one shows Tommy placing a kiss on Molly's head as they pose behind their daughter's stroller. Despite rumours of infidelity between the couple, Tommy set the record straight and revealed that his dependency on alcohol was the real reason behind their split. Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae Hague at the show's screening (James Manning/PA) News in 90 Seconds - May 27th In a candid interview with Men's Health UK, he explained: 'With my breakup with Molly, there's been so much shit in the papers every single day for the past six months, but if it's not come from my mouth or Molly's mouth, it's complete and utter bullshit. 'All I've been seeing for the past six months is 'Cheater!', 'He slept with me!', 'He slept with this girl, he slept with that girl!' Complete and utter b*****ks. 'We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink. 'Cheating was never a thing. You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing.'

Ben Shephard has sculpted himself into a Grecian statue – but there's something really sexy about a dad bod

There's something deeply sexy about a man who's not counting almonds or swerving dessert like it's a moral failing ZARA JANJUA Ben Shephard has sculpted himself into a Grecian statue – but there's something really sexy about a dad bod THIS week, two magazine covers hit the shelves like a kettlebell landing on your foot. On Men's Health, a newly chiselled 50-year-old Ben Shephard, recreating his topless shoot from 13 years ago. Advertisement 5 Ben Shephard sculpted himself into a Grecian statue to celebrate his half-century Credit: David Venni / Men's Health UK', 5 Davina looks like she just punched mortality in the face Credit: Mark Cant / Women's Health UK Over on Women's Health, Davina McCall, 56, swinging from gym rings with all the energy of a human protein shake — just months after brain surgery. Two aspirational bodies. Two inspirational mindsets. Both clearly proud of what their bodies can still do. And fair enough — they look phenomenal. Davina looks like she just punched mortality in the face and bounced straight into a plank. Advertisement She's lycra'd to the nines, flinging herself at a Pilates ball like it owes her money. It's not about showing off — it's a message: 'I'm still here, and I'm stronger than ever.' There's an empire behind that body, and it's built on resilience, dumbbells, and endorphins. Then there's daytime telly's answer to a protein shake, Ben Shephard, who sculpted himself into a Grecian statue to celebrate his half-century. He says he did it for himself — to prove he still could. And that's great. Genuinely. But also . . . Ben? Mate? It's your birthday, not the Olympics. Have a flapjack and sit down. Because here's the twist: turns out women might not actually be that a*sed. Advertisement A few weeks ago, singer Olly Murs revealed his 12-week transformation from relatable dad bod to gym-honed Adonis. And while the lads cheered him on, the women were thirstier for the 'before' pics. Yes, really. Beaming Davina McCall reveals she's got all clear from brain tumour after life-saving surgery The soft, smiley, snuggly version. Not the Marvel audition tape. So, what do women want? Do we dream of abs you could grate cheese on, or quietly yearn for a body that looks like it's seen a roast dinner? Let's be honest: abs are impressive. They say: 'I have discipline, control, and a complicated relationship with carbs.' But dad bods say: 'I'll split a sausage roll with you and probably bring you a cuppa after.' Advertisement The dad bod isn't about being unfit — it's about being unbothered. It is someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. And there's something deeply sexy about a man who's not counting almonds or swerving dessert like it's a moral failing. He's not trying to impress, which is exactly why he does. That body says: 'I'm here, I'm comfy, and I can carry all the shopping in one go.' Dreamy. It's not about what the body looks like — it's about what it means. Confidence. Security. Cuddles. That'll do nicely. So lads, if you're carrying a bit of belly — congratulations. You might just be someone's fantasy. You're built for Sunday mornings, big spoons and emergency hobnob runs. And honestly? That's a vibe. Advertisement It also makes you wonder, what do men want? Despite what a thousand lads' mags tried to drill into us, most blokes don't want to date a Peloton. Curves are in. In a 'you look like a real human' kind of way. We all want different things — and those things can shift with the weather. Sometimes we want someone ripped but most of the time, we're just after someone warm, kind and capable of making toast without a fuss. So, what do women really want? A six-pack? A squish pack? Something in between? Depends on the woman. Depends on the week. Depends on whether you washed the dishes and took the bins out because that's really what we want your body to do. Without being asked. Diddy peers turn backs 5 Diddy is the alleged ringleader in a real-life horror show Credit: AFP Advertisement SEAN 'P Diddy' Combs used to be the pied piper of platinum parties – now he's the alleged ringleader in a real-life horror show that makes Succession look like Bluey. As details spill – claims of sex- trafficking, racketeering and 'freak-offs' – the silence from his A-list acolytes is deafening. Michael B. Jordan, Mike Myers, Ye, Usher, Britney . . . suddenly it's 'new phone, who dis?' Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura's injuries appear to paint a picture of coercive control that's anything but consensual. Hollywood's collective amnesia? About as convincing as the SNP's Covid WhatsApps – deleted, delayed, denied. Advertisement Sussex series going strong 5 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle loved up on Instagram SEVEN years ago, Prince Harry looked at Meghan Markle like she had just invented kindness. Now, they look at each other like two people who have survived a national psychodrama, Oprah, and a podcast contract. As the Sussexes mark their seventh wedding anniversary, it's less fairy tale, more prestige limited series – with public opinion swinging harder than a Montecito mood board. Let's recap. Season One: Royal Wedding – the glossy pilot that launched a thousand hot takes. Advertisement Season Two: Megxit – a departure arc worthy of Succession. Season Three gave us The Oprah Interview – or as the Palace might call it, The Crown: Live. Season Four? Californian Rebranding. Season Five: Spotify and Archetypes (cancelled, like most of our goodwill). Season Six: Litigation-palooza. Advertisement Now we're in Season Seven: Mutual Love Bombs on Instagram. Meghan, in a post for Archewell, gushed about 'her love story'. Harry gazed adoringly at her in a wedding throwback, confirming either enduring love or a very competent PR team. Say what you like, but they've turned royal exile into a brand proposition with better global recognition than half the actual royals. And credit where it's due: most celebrity marriages don't last seven years, let alone seven years of exile. So, good luck to the Sussexes – still together, still trending, and still managing to make their private life astonishingly public. Advertisement Brekkie telly's shrinking morsels 5 Lorraine's daytime show has been slashed to 30 minutes Credit: Getty ITV has taken an axe to the morning schedule and Lorraine Kelly has found herself on the wrong end of the chop. Her daytime show has been slashed to 30 minutes and will now be on air for just 30 weeks a year. Likewise, the Loose Women gang, right, will have less airtime in future. It's hard not to take these shake-ups personally in the world of TV. Advertisement Bosses call it 'streamlining', or break the news that they've chosen to 'go in a different direction'. But it's all just estate-agent speak to soften the blow when you fall out of favour with the channel head or audiences. This is not so much a breakfast show as a brekkie nibble – just time to compliment a guest's dress and awkwardly read a sponsored link. GMB has been extended by half an hour to run until 9.30am and it's only a matter of time before This Morning is reduced to a WhatsApp voice note.

David Beckham, Ben Shephard & Idris Elba show some blokes get better with age – but is it worth the sacrifice?

FORGET middle-aged spread – today's male celebs are all about middle-aged SHRED. Instead of letting nature take its course when they hit 50, this generation are more likely to become toned gym bunnies. 7 Ben Shephard recently showed off his pumped physique at odds with his school-dad-next-door persona Credit: David Venni / Men's Health UK', 7 Actor Jamie Lomas is looking fit and healthy as he hits 50 Credit: Dan Collins A sports car and hair dye isn't enough for these blokes to prove they've still got it — they want the body and fitness of a man half their age, too. Not content with landing the top job hosting This Morning last year, Ben Shephard stripped off for the cover of the latest issue of Men's Health, revealing a pumped physique at odds with his school-dad-next-door persona. And his transformation has thrilled his fans on social media. One woman wrote: 'If my future husband isn't a copy of Ben Shephard I don't want it.' READ MORE ON CELEBS Others called him a pin-up and even a DILF (Dad I'd Like To F***). Ben admitted that hitting the half-century in December was his motivation to get even buffer than when he last posed topless for the magazine in 2012. He consumed up to 2.2g of protein per kilo of bodyweight each day, because 'abs are really made in the kitchen'. Ben explained: 'My wife does most of the cooking. Most read in Celebrity 'We came up with an agreement that I would get what I needed in terms of protein during the day so I could enjoy our dinners.' How romantic! Kyle Walker signs big money deal to model huge fashion brand's underwear just like David Beckham The presenter worked with long-term trainer Steve Coleman, doing four strength sessions a week, plus lung-busting Digme spin classes. His regime also included ten minutes using a foam roller to decompress his lower spine each morning and cutting out most alcohol. Nothing but respect and admiration for the way Ben has approached his 50th birthday Gordon Smart, The Sun's former Bizarre Editor Ben said: 'To get stronger, physically and mentally, is definitely harder the older you get.' Gordon Smart, The Sun's former Bizarre Editor who did the interview, wrote on Instagram: 'Nothing but respect and admiration for the way Ben has approached his 50th birthday.' The 45-year-old journalist and presenter added: 'Considering he is not a professional athlete, the application, commitment, discipline and effort that has gone into this is pure inspiration to men like me.' After this year, the next batch of 50-year-olds have a lot to live up to. Pedro Pascal is so hot he's hurting my feelings A fan on social media 'He's staring down the barrel of grey hairs, shrinking muscle and a fading sex drive. 'A transformation is a way to fight back against that creeping feeling of decline.' Narcos actor Pedro Pascal is another middle-ager who has upped his exercise, reportedly losing 80lbs in recent years — and the sight of his biceps on the Cannes red carpet amazed fans. 'Pedro Pascal is so hot he's hurting my feelings,' wrote one on social media. Another added: 'I think he's the sexiest man I've ever seen in my life.' When asked his secret, the Mandalorian actor modestly stated: 'My workout routine is just the basics.' 'I was under pressure, then trained for 14 weeks' But Brit trainer David Higgins, who first worked with Pedro on the Kingsman films, revealed he focuses on calisthenics and body weight exercises, such as mountain climbers, squats, push-ups and planks. 'He doesn't necessarily realise how good he is,' he told GQ. Lucky for some, eh? As a former footballer, you'd expect recent birthday boy Becks to take stripping off in his stride. But after signing an advertising deal with Boss, he quit his beloved red wine for more than three months to model nothing but a pair of tightie whities. He confessed: 'I actually told my team, 'I'm not going back into my underwear'. And then we signed the Boss deal. 7 Who can forget that Men's Health issue in February where David Beckham, who turned 50 this month, showed off his ripped physique? His regime included playing racket sport padel three times a week and workouts alongside wife Victoria for five to six days with trainer Bobby Rich. David told Men's Health that his go-to drink is a protein shake with creatine, coconut water, two bananas, almonds and lots of ice. And Idris Elba embarked on a strict diet before filming a topless scene in the 2023 Luther movie, asking his personal chef King Enekeme to make him look the 'bee's knees'. The Brit actor, once named Sexiest Man Alive, drank smoothies packed with greens and banned junk food. For these hunky celebs, 50 is far from over the hill — which actor Bradley Cooper proved recently when he went public with supermodel girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who is some 20 years his junior. The actor and director keeps in shape using a Peloton bike at home, only eating red meat once a month and avoiding dairy and gluten. Sounds fun. Meanwhile, heart-throb Ryan Phillippe is enjoying a career kickstart at 50, starring in new Amazon teen drama Motorheads. The actor has barely aged since his Nineties breakthrough movies I Know What You Did Last Summer and Cruel Intentions, and regularly shares topless snaps on his socials. He was also named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2021, crediting 90- minute workouts of calisthenics, free weights and sprints five days a week, plus skiing, waterskiing, hiking and paddleboarding, for his enviable shape. His other motivation? His 21-year-old son Deacon with ex-wife He admitted: 'We'll do the same workout, and the way he looks afterwards compared to the way I look is really defeating.' While getting older is certainly inevitable, these gym-obsessed stars are proof that blokes do really get better with age. But with little booze, boring protein-rich diets and days upon days spent in the gym, is it worth the sacrifices? 7 Ben stripped off for the cover of the latest issue of Men's Health Credit: 'David Venni / Men's Health UK' Cake? No. Thanks By Will Barker HITTING 50 when I was a kid seemed to be a moment when you could put your feet up and head down the pub. Dads proudly waved their beer bellies about while doing little to nothing at the weekends. But here I am, reaching my half century today, and my fellow fifty-somethings seem to have read a different memo. Ben Shephard flashing his abs, Becks posing in his pants and Pedro Pascal ageing like a fine wine. Come on, lads – how can we keep up? Hard living in journalism is par for the course. Long hours in the office, heavy drinks nights and heavy dinners with contacts. I haven't lived the gym life – but whether it is the envy at the hench celebs or the doom at reaching this landmark, something triggered in me a few months ago. Maybe it's time to lose the paunch. My mates went full midlife crisis and have taken to riding bikes while clad in Lycra. That's not for me. Work colleagues discussed how many lengths they do at the pool or the weight they benched at the gym. No thanks. But in lockdown I turned to the Couch To 5k programme and, whisper it quietly, I quite liked it. And recently my wife persuaded me to download a calorie-counting app and pack up the fags. Who knew pork pies made up pretty much all of your daily calorie allowance? Beer really is bad for you. And after a night out, walk on past the kebab house. It's still a work in progress and Becks won't be losing his Men's Health front cover just yet. But a pipe and slippers are not on my present list today – and I'll pass on the cake this year, thanks.
