Yes, George Clooney Has Seen The Pitt — Here's What the ER Vet Had to Say About Noah Wyle's New Medical Show

TV's erstwhile Dr. Ross speaks highly of Dr. Robby: During an appearance on Monday's Late Night With Seth Meyers, George Clooney sang ER co-star Noah Wyle's praises, marveling at his performance in the Max medical drama The Pitt. 'Have you guys seen that show?' Clooney asked Meyers' audience. 'It's so good, and I have to say: We've been really dear friends since [ER] — since we did the pilot of the show. He is just the most honorable, talented young man, [which] I get to say because I'm an old man, and I cannot be happier for his success on the show. The show is just a beautiful show, and he does just a great job with it.' More from TVLine The Pitt's Noah Wyle & Co. 'We used to do these things called oners,' he recalled. 'You've got to get 12 pages of dialogue out and nobody can screw up, or you have to start all over again. I'm at the very end of the oner, at Page 12, and I have one line — supraventricular tachyarrhythmia — and I'm telling you, I never got it! Literally! We did, like, 40 takes, and the rest of the cast is, like, 'Are you f–king kidding me?'' When Meyers pointed out that Wyle is once again faced with difficult doctor terminology, Clooney noted that Wyle 'never had trouble' on ER. 'He always could do it, and I hated him for that,' the Tony nominee deadpanned. Clooney and Wyle recently reunited with fellow ER castmates Anthony Edwards and Julianna Margulies at the April premiere of Clooney's Broadway show, Good Night, and Good Luck, which is up for five Tonys this weekend. CNN is set to broadcast the penultimate performance on Saturday, June 7. The Pitt, meanwhile, took home the Gotham Award for Breakthrough Drama Series on Monday. The streaming hit was previously renewed for Season 2, which is set to premiere in January 2026. The Pitt Season 2: Everything We Know View List Wyle recently visited TVLine's New York City studio and marked the 25th anniversary of an unforgettable ER episode — Season 6's 'Be Still My Heart,' which culminated in the gruesome stabbings of both Dr. Carter and med student Lucy Knight. 2 plead guilty to cyberstalking following death of victim

Two people from South Carolina have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit cyberstalking following the death of the victim from Charlotte. Tysten Anthony Cullon, 26, and Jade Ashlynn Stone, 25, both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit cyberstalking, targeting a vulnerable victim and his family members, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. FBI Special Agent James C. Barnacle, Jr. identified the victim as C.T. According to reports, C.T. had an intellectual disability and was classified as Educable Mentally Disabled. The victim was supported by his family and did not live on his own, but did have a job at a Charlotte fast-food restaurant, officials said. The defendants used a stolen phone to send 'harassing and intimidating' text messages to the victim's family members, reports said. They threatened to provide 'salacious claims' to C.T.'s employer unless they were paid. The claims included that C.T. was a pervert, he harassed girls, and paid girls for sexual pictures. Emotional distress caused by the threat resulted in C.T. dying by suicide, prosecutors said. Both of the suspects are in custody and are facing a maximum sentence of five years in prison. A sentencing date has not been set. WATCH: New video shows moments before police shooting in South Carolina beach town

The truth about people who grew up in families who never apologized

Leo Tolstoy said it best with the opening of "Anna Karenina." "Each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." But what about families who never apologize? A therapist's recent TikTok, with 1.3 million views, asserted "people who grew up in families where no one apologized after disagreements and would just let time pass instead of resolving things, often become anxious adults who over-explain, over-communicate and feel uneasy until things are settled." This theory may not be true for everyone, mental health professionals say, but it's a potential consequence worth unpacking. "When families don't apologize, it often means that there's an environment of emotional invalidation, and ingrained beliefs about perfection," says Regine Galanti, a clinical psychologist. "Apologies are viewed as a negative thing because they admit that you might have made a mistake, which is uncomfortable for most people. When you take apologies off the table, though, you teach family members that it's not OK to acknowledge mistakes, which often makes people think that it's not OK to make mistakes." 'Relationships go through a cycle of rupture and repair' Maybe your parents argued over someone forgetting an anniversary. Or your siblings squabbled about whose turn it was to empty the dishwasher. Whatever the case, arguments silly and serious affect families of all kinds. But "growing up in a home where no one ever apologizes may take an emotional toll," says Amy Morin, psychotherapist, author of " 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do" and the host of a podcast. This will look different for different families. But "when people minimize, dismiss or deny someone's experience, they inevitably create feelings of hurt, anger and a sense of invisibility in others," says Cecille Ahrens, a licensed clinical social worker. "People will then cope with these emotions in all sorts of ways, depending on how conflict was modeled to them, their personal histories, their temperament to name a few factors. These experiences often create insecure and anxious attachment styles which then impact all of their future relationships until they get the support they deserve." So, if your home included atypical communication patterns, expect it to potentially affect how you apologize (or don't) as an adult. "Often, relationships go through a cycle of rupture and repair," Morin says. "That means, speaking up for yourself or creating a boundary to rupture the status quo that isn't working. Then, as part of the repair, apologies are often necessary." No apology, little opportunity for repair. Never apologizing may even lead to mental health issues. "If you've internalized the belief that your emotions aren't important, or that mistakes are signs of weakness or that conflict is to be avoided at all cost, those are unhealthy thinking patterns that can keep you trapped in anxiety or depression," Galanti says. 'Heal from the trauma of being ignored' You should look inward and consider whether you grew up in a family who never apologized, and how that affects your life today. Seek support from people you trust, Ahrens says. Therapy, in turn, can help you untangle the past to better connect to your present and future and prioritize healthy communication. And you should consider avoiding triggers as you can, including spending time with certain family members that hurt you. Or at least have a self-care plan in place, like taking deep breaths or stepping away from a conversation if it spirals into a hurricane-level storm. Overall, focus on your own feelings and seek support as you need, especially if feelings grow untenable and, as Ahrens says, "are having a significant impact on your functioning and quality of life."

The Pitt's Noah Wyle Explains Why Collins Was M.I.A. at End of Season 1

Tracy Ifeachor's absence from the final four episodes of The Pitt did not go unnoticed by fans — and in a new interview, series star/executive producer Noah Wyle addresses the decision to have her character, Dr. Heather Collins, scrub out before everyone else. Collins was last seen in Episode 11, during a tender exchange that revealed the depth of her relationship with Dr. Robby. She confided in her ex about her recent IVF journey that ended in miscarriage earlier that day, then revealed that she got pregnant while they were dating but chose to have an abortion. After assuring Collins that he was not upset, Robby gave her the OK to clock out an hour ahead of schedule. More from TVLine The Pitt's Noah Wyle & Co. Talk Taking Robby to the Very Edge in Finale and 'Getting Mentally Healthy' in Season 2 The Pitt Season 2 Premise, Time Jump and Premiere Month Confirmed — Plus, Who Is (and Is Not) Returning The Last of Us EPs Explain Why the Premiere's Time Jump Differs From the Game's and Other Season 2 Changes 'Go home, turn off your phone,' he told her, and that she did. By the time our department chief got word that there had been a mass shooting at PittFest, his senior resident was incommunicado. 'Very deep sleeper, that Collins,' Wyle jokes on 'The Watch' podcast. He then explains why it was necessary that she remain unreachable for the remainder of Robby's increasingly taxing shift. 'The whole end of the season is just removing bearing walls from Robby's life,' Wyle says. 'He leans so heavily on Collins and Langdon, and then you take them both away from him… he leans so heavily on Dana, and then she becomes compromised… and then his one last relationship to Jake is severed when he can't save his girlfriend.' The thinking was, 'let's take away all this guy's support system and have him out there [alone].' If Collins had been there, Wyle says, 'I think she would have maybe been one of those voices that could have reached [Robby], and we didn't want him to be reachable.' As TVLine previously reported, Season 2 of The Pitt will premiere in January 2026, and pick up roughly 10 months later, on Fourth of July weekend. That will coincide with Langdon's first day back at work after he reluctantly agrees to seek help for his opioid abuse. 'We'll see everybody [from Season 1], for the most part,' series creator R. Scott Gemmill said. 'Some people might be working different hours and different shifts, but it's pretty much the same crew.' Season 2 will also address Robby's mental health, and his efforts to get 'healthy again' after his trip up to the roof at the end of Season 1.
