Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. issued a recall for more than 60,000 Volkswagen and Audi vehicles over a gear issue. Thousands of vehicles have been recalled recently, involving models from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi. Here's what to know about the three recalls: The following vehicles are included in the recall: 2021-2022 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4MATIC 2022-2022 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4MATIC 2021-2022 Mercedes-Benz S 500 2021-2023 Mercedes-Benz S 580 4MATIC 2023-2023 Mercedes-Benz S 580e 4MATIC Dig deeper Mercedes-Benz has determined that, on the above-named models, the brake hose on the front axle might leak over time with use in hot and humid environments. Why you should care This could cause the brake fluid to leak, which might lead to reduced braking performance. Timeline Dealers will be notified of the recall on March 3, 2025. Owners will be notified of the campaign before April 25, 2025. What's next An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the brake hoses on the front axle of the affected vehicles.
