More info Heavy rain is set to drench parts of North Waleas later today. A weather warning is in force for Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy for thunderstorms until 1pm. However the Met Office has warned people, forecasts show areas could also face heavy downpours with the possibility of flooding and travel disruption. Heavy rain will start to affect Gwynedd from the south west at 12.15pm, with between 16-32mm falling in parts around Barmouth and Porthmadog soon after. Feeling warm and humid. Maximum temperature 23 °C. "Tonight: Often cloudy this evening and overnight with patchy rain, turning heavy at times, especially over the hills. Remaining warm, muggy and breezy. Minimum temperature 9 °C. "Friday Largely dry by day with occasional brighter spells and some drizzle, mainly over the hills first thing followed by showers. Heavier, thundery rain possibly arriving later. Warm and humid. Maximum temperature 24 °C." The Met Office has urged people to take extra care amid the storms and be prepared for possible flooding, travel disruption, power cuts and damage to buildings.
