WWE RAW Results: IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley Triumph; Creed Brothers Down War Raiders After New Day's Distraction

Last Updated: Let's take a look at the results of all matches that unfolded on May 12's episode of Monday Night RAW. The post-Backlash WWE RAW opened with the return of CM Punk. He claimed to have been betrayed by Paul Heyman. He also poked fun at Seth Rollins, calling him a 'CM Punk from Temu". Rollins showed up and accused Punk of gaslighting everyone about Heyman. That's when Bron Breakker appeared at the arena and attacked Punk. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso made the save before Rollins fled the scene. Following a chaotic opening segment, the RAW episode featured a singles fight between Penta and Chad Gable, while the Creed Brothers faced the War Raiders in a tag-team battle. Moving forward, AJ Styles went head-to-head against Finn Balor, and IYO SKY teamed up with Rhea Ripley to take on the pair of Giulia and Roxanne Perez. Let's take a look at the results of all matches that unfolded on May 12's episode of Monday Night RAW: Chad Gable vs Penta: Gable started commandingly and welcomed Pental with some big kicks and a headbutt. Penta bounced back with a superkick and followed it up with a codebreaker. He was setting up an electric chair-esque move but failed to execute it properly. Gable unleashed a moonsault, but Penta quickly countered it with a superkick. He then used the Mexican Destroyer to pin Gable. Creed Brothers vs War Raiders: With the New Day on commentary duty, the match went through much drama. The two teams traded some strikes as Ivar launched the Banzai Drop and Brutas came back with a suplex and a moonsault. The New Day ran a distraction, which helped The Creeds shell out the Butus Ball Device and seal the deal. Styles took early control as she turned an amber to catch his opponent for a pin attempt. Balor used the ropes to break the hold but missed out on the Coup de Grâce. Cartilo and JC McDonagh tried to interfere but were knocked down by Styles. Penta came forward to assist Styles, who got the Phenomenal Forearm to secure the victory. IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley vs Giulia & Roxanne Perez: Perez and SKY started the match before Ripley tagged in and got the better of Perez. Giulia attempted a double-team move, but SKY countered it with a big dive. After some back-and-forth, Perez accidentally brought down Giulia, and Ripley took advantage of the situation and used the Riptide to win the tag-team battle. WWE RAW Results & Highlights (5/5/25): CM Punk makes shocking return, Rusev makes in-ring debut and more

This week's edition of Monday Night RAW saw a major return crash the main event match, alongside other explosive matches and moment. The May 5th edition of WWE RAW took place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The night saw multiple exciting developments including superstars delivering verbal rants, captivating in-ring matches and a huge title main event showdown that ended in chaos. Opening segment with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman Jey Uso opened the show to talk about Logan Paul. He was interuppted by Paul Heyman who was surprised to see him after he betrayed CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Following an exchanged of words, Heyman went off in a heated rant. He blamed CM Punk for putting him in a spot that ruined his relationship with Roman Reigns. Similarly, Reigns could not stand the fact that Heyman was just being with his best friend live his dream. Furthemore, he said that his new guy, Seth Rollins has to become the World Heavyweight Champion and goaded Jey Uso into the match. The YEET man asked it to happen on RAW itself. Penta vs. JD McDonagh This was a singles match, however, all members of the Judgment Day were ringside. They ran constant interference until the referee tossed them out of the ringside area. Chad Gable then tried to interfere, but Penta took him out. He then turned his attention to JD McDonagh and delivered a Mexican Destroyer for the win. Austin Theory vs. Sheamus Originally, it was suppose to be Grayson Waller to wrestle, but he goaded Adam Pearce to let Austin Theory take the match. His opponent was revealed to be the returning Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior dominanted the contest despite Theory's best efforts and finished him off with a Brogue Kick to secure the pinfall. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria segment Becky Lynch came out to berate Bayley and then called out her Backlash opponent, Lyra Valkyria. As Lynch was counting down her achievements, Valkyria reminded her that she was not the first-ever Women's IC champion, Lyra was. Following an heated exchange, Lynch tried to hit a cheap shot, but Valkyria countered leading to a brawl breaking out. WWE officials tried to break it up, but Valkyria ran to the ring and countered the Man Handle Slam into the Nightwing to win the match. IYO SKY vs. 'The Prodigy' Roxanne Perez It was one of the most captivating and compelling showdowns of the night as IYO Sky and Roxanne Perez tore down the house. The ending saw Perez avoiding the moonsault by SKY and tried to roll her up for the win, but SKY rolled her up and secured the pin. After the match, Giulia and Perez attacked IYO Sky and left her laying. Rusev vs Otis It was a one-sided affair as Rusev dominated Otis in his first match since returning to WWE last week. He ended the match with a kick and then making Otis tap out of the accolade. Akira Tozawa tried to stand up to Rusev only to suffer his wrath with the Bulgarian Brute decimating both Alpha Academy members. Jey Uso vs Seth Rollins This was the main event match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins and Uso engaged in a huge back and forth contest that captivated the audience of Omaha. Towards the final moments, Bron Breakker tried to run interference, but Sami Zayn appeared to fight with him and Uso delivered a spear on Rollins. Breakker took him out leading to Jey Uso going to check on him. This allowed the Visionary to recover and deliver a Pedigree on Jey who also ate a spear from Bron outside the ring. As he was about to secure the pinfall, CM Punk made his shocking return with a chair and took out both Breakker and Rollins to end the show. Also read:

WWE Raw Results, Winners And Grades On May 5, 2025

Rusev vs. Otis on WWE Raw WWE Raw advertised Roxanne Perez vs. Iyo Sky, an appearance by Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, Penta vs. JD McDonagh and Rusev vs. Otis in Rusev's first WWE match in five years. Raw also advertised a face-to-face confrontation between Pat McAfee and Gunther. Jey Uso called out Logan Paul, only to be interrupted by Paul Heyman. Heyman cut a long promo explaining his actions, and why he betrayed Roman Reigns. Heyman about had a conniption fit toward the end of his tirade, prompting Jey Uso to ask if 'are you okay?' After venting about Roman Reigns and the Bloodline, Paul Heyman challenged Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship anytime, anyplace. Jey Uso accepted Heyman's challenge: for tonight. The announce team spent much of the match putting over JD McDonagh for recovering from his scary injury a few months back. They claimed McDonagh finished that match with only one lung. There was a point where it seemed like McDonagh was going to win. Chad Gable interfered, but he caught a diving Penta for his troubles. This opened the door for McDonagh to lay out Penta, but McDonagh missed a top-rope dive and ate a Mexican Destroyer. Backstage, there was a painfully awkward segment between the Judgment Day and AJ Styles where Styles fumbled just about every line that came out of his mouth. Bad day at the office for poor Allen. This was supposed to be Grayson Waller vs. a mystery opponent, but when Waller found out who it was, he foisted Austin Theory onto the mystery opponent. This turned out to be the returning Sheamus. By now, Theory should know better than to trust Waller in situations where Waller claims to have his best interests in mind. Therefore, I have no sympathy whatsoever for Theory's character. This was not the 'Burger After Burger' Sheamus from last year. Sheamus was shredded, and with everybody gunning for Dominik Mysterio's Intercontinental Championship, now seems like the best time for Sheamus to finally capture his first IC Title. Sheamus won a surprisingly competitive match against Theory with a Brogue Kick. If Theory and Waller don't break up this month, they probably never will. Becky Lynch said she was not here to help anybody, her job is to beat everybody and she's very good at her job. Lyra Valkyria continues to get more confident on the mic, and held her own against Becky Lynch. The Nebraska crowd was also much warmer to Valkyria, and they did not give her 'what' chants like last week. Becky and Lyra inevitably brawled, and Lyra got the better of Lynch. There's a strong chance Becky wins the Intercontinental Championship this Saturday at Backlash. Fans were red-hot for Iyo Sky, chanting 'let's go Iyo' before and after break. Omaha came unglued every time Iyo performed her signature taunt. As Sky went to finish off Perez, her knee (kayfabe) buckled, allowing Perez to briefly take control. A hobbled Sky went for the Over the Moonsault, only to land on her feet and hurt her leg again. After a series of nearfall rollups, Sky finally rolled up Perez for the win. Roxanne shook Iyo's hand and left the ring, only for Giulia to attack Iyo from behind. Perez joined in on the attack as they laid out Iyo Sky. There was no sign of Rhea Ripley, who was doing press in Australia, but so was Grayson Waller and he made it to Omaha. Some fans chanted 'Rusev Day' early in the match. There were also dueling chants of 'let's go Otis/Rusev Day!' This was a good-ole fashion Hoss Match. Both Rusev and Otis exchanged clotheslines and neither would go down. Rusev finally took Otis off his feet with a spinning heel kick to a big reaction. Raw came back from break with Otis hitting an exploder suplex on Rusev over the table. Otis put on a great performance, but finally succumbed to the Accolade. Rusev hung on past the bell, prompting Akira Tozawa to challenge Rusev to a fight. Rusev dismissively walked off. Rusev came back and powerbombed Tozawa on Otis. Rusev dismantled Otis even more, slapping on another Accolade to tremendous heat as WWE officials broke it up. There was a lot of heat for Gunther, who was booed vociferously while he tried to speak. Fans also chanted 'you tapped out!" Fans chanted for both Michael Cole and Pat McAfee. McAfee put over Michael Cole for dedicating 28 years of his life to this business. McAfee got cheap—but loud—pops by mentioning the Cornhuskers, Omaha steaks and the College Football World Series. Nobody is better at getting any building to like him—without seeming like he's pandering—better than Pat McAfee. McAfee told Gunther that he's become soft. This isn't a dream for Gunther—it's a job. For McAfee, this will always be a dream that he will never take for granted. 'You don't want it anymore. You've gotten too damn comfortable.' Gunther threatened to choke McAfee out like a wet towel. Gunther said only the grace of God will be able to lift his arms off his throat. Gunther shoved McAfee, setting the stage for the most anticipated matchup this weekend. While Jey Uso was on his way to the ring, Roxanne Perez was in the background talking to Finn Balor. This match started off slow. Paul Heyman, tried to get the crowd to sing Seth Rollins' theme song, but they yeeted instead. I'm surprised these two had a full-blown match given the fact that I expect this to be one of the SummerSlam main events. There were even faint 'this is awesome' chants after a double cross-body. Rollins countered an Uso Spear with a Pedigree for a nearfall. 'Holy s—t' chants followed. After interference by Breakker, Rollins hit a superplex, a Falcon's Arrow and a Stomp for a nearfall. Omaha melted to the ground at this false finish. Sami Zayn evened the odds, distracting Rollins, who took a Superkick, a Spear and a Splash for a nearfall. Unbelievable. Breakker laid out both Sami and Seth with spears. Rollins hit a Stomp on Jey. Enter CM Punk. Punk took out Breakker and Rollins with a chair, putting an end to the match.
