Check out Japan's newest and cutest single-seater, the MiBot

Check out Japan's newest and cutest single-seater, the MiBot This dinky EV from Japanese start-up KG Motors is too adorable for words Skip 3 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Turn on Javascript to see all the available pictures. 1 / 3 We've not seen anything this cute since Fiat launched the roofless Topolino. Say konnichiwa to the MiBot, which comes to you via the medium of Japanese start-up KG Motors. Some 26 centimetres narrower than a Citroen Ami, the dinky EV is less than 1.5m tall, just over 1.1m wide and a smidgen under 2.5m long – basically the size of a cereal box. You can park it anywhere of course because look at it, and carry up to 45kg of cargo (cereal?), while the MiBot offers such luxuries as a heated seat, a touchscreen, some speakers, and fancy glass that protects you from baking like a croissant. Plus, there's air-con! The Mobilize Bento-rivalling EV – similarly primed for short journeys and solo errand-running – has undergone rigorous winter testing and safety checks, though videos of it cornering are worryingly reminiscent of the Mk1 Fiat Seicento. It launched with a price of only £5,644 (¥1.1m, by today's forex prices), and the Hiroshima-based manufacturer has already taken over 2,200 pre-orders, up from the modest 300 it had originally planned. The company's now revising its production schedule. Advertisement - Page continues below Yep, you want one. Let the global kei-car takeover commence.
