University of Miami football player involved in deadly Largo crash
LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — A University of Miami football player was involved in a crash that claimed three lives, including two children, in his hometown of Largo on Saturday.
Adarius Hayes, a linebacker in his sophomore year, was hospitalized after the collision, a spokesperson for Miami Athletics said in a statement.

The crash happened at 1:45 p.m. at Orangeview Drive and Ridge Road. Largo police said a Kia Soul collided with a Dodge Durango while turning left onto Orangeview Drive.
Three of the Kia's occupants – the driver, 78-year-old Gail Price, and two child passengers – died in the crash. Another passenger, 58-year-old Herbert Rivera, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Hayes, 20, was identified as the driver of the Dodge. He has since been released from the hospital.
'We are deeply saddened to learn the crash resulted in three fatalities, as confirmed by Largo Police, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those lost,' the Miami Athletics statement said, in part.
Police said neither driver showed signs of impairment at the time of the crash. No criminal charges have been filed in connection to the incident.
