Miamisburg City Schools selects new superintendent
After a long search, Miamisburg City Schools announced its selection for new superintendent. The Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Friday to vote for approval. 'I am truly honored to be named superintendent of Miamisburg Schools and incredibly excited to join this vibrant community,' she said. 'I look forward to partnering with our dedicated educators, families, and students as we work together to inspire excellence and shape a bright future for every learner.' Maney has also spent 18 years as a teacher, principal, and executive director of human resources in the Dayton Public and Beavercreek City Schools, the spokesperson said. 'With our strong sense of community and dedication to academic success, we are confident Maney will help strengthen our district and support the continued growth of our staff, students, and families,' said Corey Dafler, Board of Education President. Miamisburg schools superintendent heading to Mason
MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) — The superintendent for Miamisburg City Schools will be transitioning into a new role at a new school district. Miamisburg's current superintendent, Dr. Laura Blessing, will be transitioning to Chief Talent Officer at Mason City Schools. The announcement was shared after the Mason Board of Education approved her appointment during their meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28. WWII movie shares story of Dayton's Charity Adams Earley Blessing has served as superintendent in Miamisburg since 2020, helping to navigate the school district through a global pandemic and beyond. Speaking on her time at Miamisburg, Blessing says the community has left a profound mark on her. 'I will forever cherish the memories we've created and the resilience we've shown together. While this decision to leave was not easy, I am excited to begin this new chapter where I can focus on supporting educators and staff while continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of students,' Blessing said. The Miamisburg Board of Education says they are committed to a smooth transition. In the next few weeks, they will begin making plans on how to select a new superintendent.
