Motorcyclist killed in wreck on US 421
A Raleigh man riding a motorcycle was killed Sunday morning after the motorcycle rear-ended another vehicle, the Kernersville Police Department said.
Michael Anthony Gaither Jr., 26, was riding a 2015 Suzuki GSX 1300 going west on U.S. 421 near Interstate 74 about 8:50 a.m. when the accident happened.
Gaither was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle involved had only minor injuries.
Police did not release any other information, saying the traffic unit of the Kernersville Police Department was actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the wreck. Police ask that anyone with relevant information contact Master Police Officer M. Mitchell.
This was the first traffic fatality in Kernersville in 2025.
