City of Greenville wins Cigna Healthcare award for employee health & happiness
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The City of Greenville has been selected by Cigna Healthcare as the winner of the 2024 gold-level Health Workforce Designation.
Cigna Healthcare reportedly chose Greenville as the winner for showing a strong commitment to bettering the health and happiness of their employees with a workplace well being program. The city offers a health clinic, employee assistance programs, health risk assessments, diabetes and cancer support, fitness memberships and more to their employees.
'At the City of Greenville, employee health is our top priority; we are honored to be recognized with the Cigna Healthy Workforce Designation,' Greenville City Manager Michael Cowin said. 'We understand the important role employee well-being plays in an organization's success and the relationship between healthy employees contributing to a more productive, satisfied workforce and positive business performance.'
Greenville previously won the 'Cigna Well Being Award' a few years ago.
