Two day music festival at country park this bank holiday weekend
THERE's nothing like getting together with family and friends in the great outdoors to hear the music you love… and finding yourself among hundreds of others who've had exactly the same idea.
With its lineup of top tributes, the two-day Ultimate Festivals in the idyllic setting of Upton Country Park on Saturday 25 and Sunday 25 May guarantees some of the biggest and best-known hits in rock and pop history.
'We know because they tell us, but Ultimate Festivals regulars and newcomers alike love the fact that it's a fuss-free festival the whole family can enjoy together,' says festival organiser Ben Dyas.
'There's no complicated entry system, the bars are well stocked and staffed, the facilities are well kept and there's plenty of space so everyone has a good view. It's the ideal bank holiday day – or days – out.'
Family day tickets are available now at just £52 and kids (under 5s) get in for a quid – that's the kind of value that locals and visitors love about Ultimate Festivals. Add in the funfair rides, street food traders providing tasty treats, and a cocktail station, hot drinks and soft drinks, and you have a party in the making.
This year's music line-up is split between Rock Anthems on Saturday and Pop Icons on Sunday.
And, with ticket prices for this summer's Oasis reunion out of reach for many people, the next best thing could be found at the Ultimate Festivals in the shape of fans' favourite tribute Oasiss. They're joined on Saturday's Rock Anthems bill by Dirty DC (AC/DC), UK Queen, This Is Floyd (Pink Floyd) and the Guns n' Roses Experience.
On Sunday, Pop fans can see The Bowie Experience, Blondied, Michael Jackson Starring Ben, Duran, Absolutely Elton (Elton John) and Jack Shephard (Ed Sheeran).
There's plenty going on away from the music as well with funfair rides, street food traders providing a host of tasty treats from around the world and the bars including craft beers and ciders, a cocktail station and gin bar, as well as a full range of soft drinks.
