Ice cream lovers line up for free cone day for start of spring
Long lines met a chilly first day of spring at a local ice cream eatery.
It was all for the chance to get a free ice cream cone at the Dairy Queen on Peach Street.

The cold temperatures not slowing the demand for ice cream there. The lines inside the DQ were backed up to the door while the drive-in line filled the parking lot to the street.
'I mean it was a little bit nicer earlier, but its snowing now. not a big fan, Hey guys i'm on the news,' said Jordan Swanson from New York.

'This is supposed to be the first day of spring, but I'm not too sure, outside in the snow waiting for a free cone of ice cream,' said Michael Pcsolyar from Erie.
Rita's Italian Ice also offered a free small cup of their italian ice.
