Man killed in wrong-way semi-truck crash on M-14 near Ann Arbor
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A man driving on the wrong side of M-14 was killed after crashing head-on into a semi-truck yesterday.
The Michigan State Police Brighton Post that troopers were sent to a car and semi-truck crash at the area of eastbound M-14 Hwy. at Vorhies Rd. in Washtenaw County at around 11:05 p.m.
Police report that a 2009 Acura MDX driven by a 26-year-old man from Whitmore Lake was traveling westbound on M-14 in the eastbound lane.
The Acura crashed into a semi-truck traveling eastbound, driven by a 25-year-old man from Ontario, head-on.
Police say the 26-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 25-year-old semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Police say alcohol and drugs appear to be a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing
