NBA mock draft 2025: Meta AI predictions for the entire first round
NBA mock draft 2025: Meta AI predictions for the entire first round Show Caption Hide Caption Dwyane Wade shares thoughts on Dallas Mavericks getting first pick NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade shares his thoughts on the NBA and whether or not the Mavericks getting the first pick in the draft is a "coincidence." Sports Seriously The 2025 NBA draft is less than a month away and the mock drafts are beginning to come into focus now that the league's early entry withdrawal deadline passed. It would be a stunner if Cooper Flagg isn't the No. 1 pick by the Dallas Mavericks on June 25, and there seems to be a consensus forming for the next selections below him. That includes the various AI platforms currently capable of weighing in on the NBA draft. USA TODAY Sports asked Meta AI to produce a simulation of every first-round pick during the 2025 NBA draft, and the top four selections went according to most recent NBA mock drafts and previous first-round simulations using Microsoft Copilot AI and Google Gemini AI. Flagg, Rutgers teammates Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey, and Baylor one-and-done star VJ Edgecombe were all off the board quickly. After that, though, some of the choices by Meta AI veer from expected outcomes and other AI programs. Meta AI notably had Duke's Khaman Maluach falling out of the lottery and Michigan State's Jase Richardson falling out of the top 20. Auburn's Johnni Broome moved into a first-round slot and Missouri's Tamar Bates, currently No. 100 in ESPN's 2025 draft prospect rankings, also got an unlikely first-round nod. There was still a significant international presence of prospects from overseas and the college ranks. Here's a breakdown of the 2025 NBA draft first-round picks made by a Meta AI simulation, as well as how to watch when the league's teams gather in Brooklyn on June 25-26 to make their actual selections: NBA DRAFT 2025: Winners and losers after landscape-shifting college withdrawal deadline NBA draft 2025: AI predictions for every first round pick First-rounds picks were generated by a Meta AI simulation of the 2025 NBA draft. Xbox Hikes Consoles Prices More Than 25% Amid Trump Tariffs
Xbox has increased the price of its consoles and controllers worldwide amid the tariffs enacted by President Donald Trump, and says it expects to up the cost of some of its new, first-party games beginning this holiday season. As of today, the recommended U.S. retail price of an Xbox Series X is now set at $599.99, up $100. The Xbox Series S device will now run customers $379 vs. the previous $299.99. The price change will go into effect this holiday season, with no specific date given yet, and Xbox says 'different games and expansions will continue to be offered at a variety of price points.' Xbox says pricing on headsets will change in the U.S. and Canada only, and the pricing for its adaptive controller and adaptive joystick will remain the same. Per Xbox, 'We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development. Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players.' Xbox notes that Series X and S console 'availability may continue to change over time depending on the retailer and by country.' The price increase comes one day after Xbox parent company Microsoft released its latest quarterly earnings results, which saw gaming revenue increase 5% overall, but hardware sales drop 6%. Last month, Nintendo revealed it would keep the previously announced $449.99 price of its upcoming Switch 2 device, but increase the price for some of its accessories amid tariff uncertainty. AI predicts Rams take 300-pound DT in new mock draft
AI predicts Rams take 300-pound DT in new mock draft Artificial intelligence is the rage these days — both as a means for answering questions as well as ideating. So, why not use it for mock drafts? That's exactly what USA Today Sports' Jacob Camenker did for his newest mock draft. He used the Microsoft Copilot AI chatbot to made all 32 first-round selections with a month to go before the actual 2025 NFL Draft. While there were a couple of surprises, it saddled the Rams with an out-of-the-box but not totally bonkers pick: Michigan DT Kenneth Grant. The 6-foot-3, 339-pound defensive lineman has 6.5 sacks over the past two seasons with 12 tackles for a loss. "The Rams struggled against the run last season and signed Poona Ford to help them on the line of scrimmage," Camenker wrote about this pick. "Selecting the 'powerful and disruptive' Grant would double down on addressing that weakness and continue to bolster Los Angeles' defense in the post-Aaron Donald era." This pick isn't terrible, but it wouldn't necessarily impact the Rams in 2025. Grant would sit behind both Ford and Kobie Turner in the lineup, too, so he wouldn't see much action in his rookie season. If the Rams wanted to focus on one of the weaker parts of their 2024 roster and turn it into a strength in 2025, then this pick would make sense. Otherwise, the Rams would be better suited to take a cornerback or receiver instead.

March Madness bracket 2025: AI picks every men's NCAA Tournament game winner
March Madness bracket 2025: AI picks every men's NCAA Tournament game winner Kansas, UCLA, Houston and Alabama were among the teams viewed favorably by a Microsoft Copilot AI simulation of the 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket. Show Caption Hide Caption March Madness 2025: The Dos and Don'ts for filling out your NCAA Tournament bracket March Madness is finally here and Mackenzie Salmon has tips to help you fill out your NCAA Tournament bracket. Sports Pulse This hasn't been the best season of Kansas basketball under coach Bill Self so far. The Jayhawks are back in March Madness, but it's the first time in 25 years they aren't a top-four seed. Instead, No. 7 seed Kansas begins the 2025 NCAA Tournament with a marquee West Region first-round matchup against No. 10 seed Arkansas and coach John Calipari in Providence, Rhode Island. Artificial intelligence believes it could be the start of a magical March run. USA TODAY Sports used the Microsoft Copilot AI chatbot to predict the result of every men's game in this year's NCAA Tournament bracket. The results looked a lot like a typical bracket filled out in NCAA Tournament pools around the country, and it's becoming an increasingly popular tool for college basketball fans to use during March Madness. Kansas is either the most notable exception in this exercise or a sign AI knows college basketball better than most of us. IT'S BRACKET MADNESS: Enter USA TODAY's Bracket Challenge contest for a chance at $1 million prize The Microsoft Copilot AI simulation picked the Jayhawks to win their fifth national championship and third under Self. It cited the play of stars Hunter Dickinson and Dajuan Harris and had Kansas beating No. 3 seed Texas Tech, No. 1 seed Florida, No. 2 seed Michigan State and No. 2 seed Alabama along the way. It's an unlikely scenario, though Kansas is favored to beat Arkansas on Thursday and has better NCAA Tournament odds than every other No. 7 seed in the field. The AI simulation also predicted multiple upsets throughout the bracket, including a No. 15 seed winning in the first round and two No. 12 seeds advancing to the Sweet 16. Houston is the only No. 1 seed projected to make it to the Final Four. Here's a complete look at how Microsoft Copilot's AI chatbot predicted every game in the men's 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket: MARCH MADNESS UPSET PICKS: Predicting NCAA Tournament first-round surprises March Madness predictions: AI simulation of every 2025 NCAA Tournament game First Round East Region No. 1 seed Duke beats No. 16 seed American/Mount St. Mary's No. 9 seed Baylor over No. 8 seed Mississippi State No. 12 seed Liberty beats No. 5 seed Oregon No. 4 seed Arizona beats No. 13 seed Akron No. 11 seed VCU over No. 6 seed BYU No. 3 seed Wisconsin over No. 14 seed Montana No. 10 seed Vanderbilt over No. 7 seed Saint Mary's No. 2 seed Alabama beats No. 15 seed Robert Morris Midwest Region No. 1 seed Houston beats No. 16 seed SIU-Edwardsville No. 8 seed Gonzaga beats No. 9 seed Georgia No. 5 seed Clemson beats No. 12 seed McNeese State No. 4 seed Purdue beats No. 13 seed High Point No. 6 seed Illinois beats No. 11 seed Xavier No. 3 Kentucky beats No. 14 seed Troy No. 7 seed UCLA beats No. 10 seed Utah State No. 2 seed Tennessee beats No. 15 seed Wofford South Region No. 1 seed Auburn beats No. 16 seed Alabama State No. 9 seed Creighton beats No. 8 seed Louisville No. 12 seed UC San Diego beats No. 5 seed Michigan No. 4 seed Texas A&M beats No. 13 seed Yale No. 11 seed North Carolina over No. 6 seed Ole Miss No. 3 seed Iowa State over No. 14 seed Lipscomb No. 10 seed New Mexico over No. 7 seed Marquette No. 2 seed Michigan State beats No. 15 seed Bryant West Region No. 1 seed Florida beats No. 16 seed Norfolk State No. 9 seed Oklahoma over No. 8 seed UConn No. 12 seed Colorado State over No. 5 seed Memphis No. 4 seed Maryland beats No. 13 seed Grand Canyon No. 6 seed Missouri beats No. 11 seed Drake No. 3 seed Texas Tech beats No. 14 seed UNC-Wilmington No. 7 seed Kansas beats No. 10 seed Arkansas No. 15 seed Omaha beats No. 2 seed St. John's Second Round East Region No. 1 seed Duke over No. 9 seed Baylor No. 12 seed Liberty over No. 4 seed Arizona No. 3 seed Wisconsin over No. 11 seed VCU No. 2 seed Alabama over No. 10 seed Vanderbilt Midwest Region No. 1 seed Houston over No. 8 seed Gonzaga No. 4 seed Purdue over No. 5 seed Clemson No. 3 seed Kentucky over No. 6 seed Illinois No. 7 seed UCLA over No. 2 seed Tennessee South Region No. 1 seed Auburn over No. 9 seed Creighton No. 12 seed UC San Diego over No. 4 seed Texas A&M No. 3 seed Iowa State over No. 11 seed North Carolina No. 2 seed Michigan State over No. 10 seed New Mexico West Region No. 1 seed Florida over No. 9 seed Oklahoma No. 4 seed Maryland over No. 12 seed Colorado State No. 3 seed Texas Tech over No. 6 seed Missouri No. 7 seed Kansas over No. 15 seed Omaha Sweet 16 East Region No. 1 seed Duke over No. 12 seed Liberty No. 2 seed Alabama over No. 3 seed Wisconsin Midwest Region No. 1 seed Houston over No. 4 seed Purdue No. 7 seed UCLA over No. 3 seed Kentucky South Region No. 1 seed Auburn over No. 12 seed UC San Diego No. 2 seed Michigan State over No. 3 seed Iowa State West Region No. 1 seed Florida over No. 4 seed Maryland No. 7 seed Kansas over No. 3 seed Texas Tech Elite Eight East Region : No. 2 seed Alabama over No. 1 seed Duke : No. 2 seed Alabama over No. 1 seed Duke Midwest Region : No. 1 seed Houston over No. 7 seed UCLA : No. 1 seed Houston over No. 7 seed UCLA South Region : No. 2 seed Michigan State beats No. 1 seed Auburn : No. 2 seed Michigan State beats No. 1 seed Auburn West Region: No. 7 seed Kansas over No. 1 seed Florida Final Four No. 2 seed Alabama beats No. 1 seed Houston No. 7 seed Kansas beats No. 2 seed Michigan State National Championship Game
