KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the summer kicks off, Kansas City has plenty of cooling centers set up to help keep you safe from the heat.

The United Way of Greater Kansas City maintains a directory of seasonal resources all across the county, including cooling centers, free fans and air conditioning units. You can also find homeless shelters and housing assistance that serve the community all year round. You can call 211 for help finding resources in your area.
