Two top cops accused of mocking a colleague's Irish accent in ‘grossly offensive' leaving video
TWO distinguished police chiefs have been accused of mocking an Irish colleague's accent. Their 'joke' was part of a 'grossly offensive' video presentation to a retiring firearms chief inspector. Sir David is a former lead on race and inclusion for the National Police Chiefs' Council while Mr Murray is now a boss at the National Crime Agency. The video was posted onto the WMP gun unit's Facebook page. 'But when it comes to the police themselves then nothing is done about it.' 'Lawless' high street gets dedicated police team

'Constant presence' The 36% rise is higher than the average for England and Wales over the same time frame (29%).West Midlands Police said the six officers and a sergeant would be on regular patrol on High Street, speaking to local people as well as building relationships with businesses and partners."The results we've seen in Erdington speak for themselves – not just in terms of arrests and charges, but in the look and feel of the area around the high street," Mr Munro said."We're delighted that our work has been met with such positive feedback, and grateful to the Erdington community for their invaluable support and information."The new dedicated High Street team will be a constant presence in the area, and although Fearless is expanding to a new location – our Fearless officers will be using their impressive local and operational knowledge to support them."The team started working in partnership with other officers in the town on 4 April, and has already made 17 arrests, the force said. Appeal after woman breaks spine in Stechford hit-and-run
A fresh appeal to try to find out how a woman broke her spine in a hit-and-run has been issued by woman, in her 60s, was hit by a vehicle, believed to have been a white Citroen Berlingo van, on Crossfield Road in Stechford, was taken to hospital with spinal fractures and is recovering at home following the crash near the junction of Kitts Green Road, at about 07:45 GMT on 15 Midlands Police said it was appealing for information and dashcam footage as officers continued their inquiries. M5 shut at Oldbury in two separate police incidents
Two sections of the M5 have been shut in the West Midlands in police Midlands Police said it had been closed southbound between junction three, for Quinton, and junction two for Oldbury after a body was found on the motorway just after 10:00 BST. A separate crash nearby involving a motorcyclist has also seen the northbound carriageway close between junction one in West Bromwich and the M6 Highways said diversions were in place, but there were currently delays of 50 mins between junctions four and three. Coventry sports club fire was arson, fire service believes
A fire at a sports clubhouse in Coventry is believed to have been started deliberately, West Midlands Fire Service has services were called to Mitchell Avenue in the Canley area of the city at 20:15 GMT on found Coventry Tech Sporting Club's building alight with about a third of the property in flames and the whole building had been affected by Midlands Police has been contacted for more information.
