Green Bay Packers 2025 Schedule Breakdown: Key Dates and Toughest Tests

On Wednesday night, the Green Bay Packers announced their 2025 regular-season schedule. They have the fifth toughest strength of schedule in the league this year, and regardless of how the games are distributed, they will face a demanding challenge for most of the season. There are a few points to highlight in Green Bay's 2025 schedule. First, they finally get a home game in Week 1 after going on the road for the previous six years. Moreover, five of their last seven games will be against divisional opponents, and they got an early bye week. Advertisement Without further delay, let's get into the schedule. It will be the first time Green Bay faces Detroit in Week 1 since 2005. Since then, the Packers have opened their season six times against the Chicago Bears and three times against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers will then face a quick turnaround, playing the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. General Manager Brian Gutekunst emphasized Green Bay's need to increase their sense of urgency this year—and what better way to do that than by starting the season with wins over two of last year's top NFC teams? Advertisement Matt LaFleur's team faces back-to-back road games in Weeks 3 and 4 against the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys, respectively, with the Week 4 game on Sunday Night Football, before their Week 5 bye. The Packers have never lost at AT&T Stadium and will be eager to keep that streak alive. The Packers will face Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. They will head west to take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7 before traveling to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers (SNF) the following week. Green Bay's last two matchups with the Bengals have gone to overtime, while they have won their past two games against Arizona, including a 34-13 victory at Lambeau Field last season. The matchup in Pittsburgh could be the most anticipated game of the year from a fan perspective if Aaron Rodgers signs with the Steelers, and a showdown of that magnitude belongs in primetime. Green Bay will host the Carolina Panthers, the Philadelphia Eagles (MNF), and the Minnesota Vikings, while also traveling to face the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. In November, they will meet the Eagles for the fourth time in as many seasons, including twice in 2024. The last time the Packers visited Detroit on Thanksgiving, Jordan Love delivered a standout performance in a 29-22 victory. The Vikings game could feature J.J. McCarthy's first career start against Green Bay. In December, the Packers will face the Bears twice in three weeks, including a Saturday showdown on December 20. They'll also travel to Denver to take on the Broncos—a venue where Green Bay has struggled to play in recent memory. Advertisement The month wraps up with a highly anticipated matchup between the Packers and the Ravens, which will be Lamar Jackson's first career start at Lambeau Field. Furthermore, Green Bay will close the regular season on the road against the Vikings in Minnesota in the first week of January. What stands out in Green Bay's 2025 schedule? First, the early bye week is far from ideal—but the last time the Packers had a bye this early, they won 13 games, secured the No. 1 seed, and came one healthy David Bakhtiari away from a Super Bowl appearance. Is it ideal? No. However, the Packers have shown the can manage it. Additionally, the Packers will play on Thanksgiving for the third consecutive year, having won their previous two matchups against the Lions and Dolphins. Furthermore, they have four primetime games, including a Monday Night Football appearance for the 33rd consecutive season.

The Wisconsin judge who allegedly helped an illegal migrant evade immigration authorities pleaded not guilty through her attorney on Thursday. Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan entered the preliminary plea in federal court, which was surrounded by a swarm of protesters supporting the judge, who has become a symbol of resistance against the Trump administration's immigration policy. What do you want to tell your mom? Ahead of Mother's Day, we want your letters. | Opinion Is there something you've been wanting to say to your mom or a mother figure in your life? Something you wished you said? We want to hear about it. Show Caption Hide Caption What's your favorite Mother's Day gift ever? Hear what moms said. These moms asked what's been the best Mother's Day gift they've ever received. Mike De Sisti, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel First, a public service message for those of you who, like me, are calendar-challenged: Mother's Day is May 11. (I've got that on my phone calendar, but I likely need to write it on my hand or something.) Aside from keeping track of the date, the holiday seems like a simple thing. And for many people, it is – the day they honor the person who birthed them and then nurtured them through one of the most vulnerable and impressionable times of their lives. But life is more complicated than that. There are a good number of people who were mothered by a person who didn't give birth to them. Some may not know their birth mother. Others might have a difficult relationship with their mother. There are those whose mothers have passed, and the holiday stirs up deep emotions. Even those of us who think we have a healthy bond with our mothers might feel some regret or pain associated with the relationship. In my case, I'm afraid I fail to show my mother the love she deserves. I feel guilty about not calling her. I want her to know how deeply I appreciate her dedication to me. Like when, after graduating from college, I had no real concrete plans but did have the benefit of no student loan debt, thanks to my mother and my father. Because of that, I was able to saunter across the country to Seattle and then join the Peace Corps before deciding that I, in fact, did not want to go to law school and started working low-paying writing gigs. For not criticizing my choices and for showing me support and telling me you were proud of me, I love you, Mom. Very much. Take our poll: Has Elon Musk gone too far?
