Vernon Davis honored for NFL distinction and community service with induction into Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame

Vernon Davis played for 14 seasons before his 2019 retirement. He was officially inducted into the Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame on May 30 this year at the Mike Ditka Hall of Fame Gala in Chicago. Vernon Davis earns Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame nod for impact on and off the field Vernon Davis is being celebrated for more than his on-field accomplishments. The class of 2025 Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame recognizes Vernon Davis for his exemplary athletic career and for volunteering on behalf of underprivileged youth. The Gridiron Greats Hall of Fame is an initiative of the non-profit foundation founded by Green Bay Packers great Jerry Kramer in 2007. The program assists former NFL players in need after they have retired from football. Vernon Davis called the award a "privilege," stating the mission of the group was to assist former players who had hung up on a physical and emotional level during play.
