That's according to Diario AS, who point towards Éder Militão as the player in question. Advertisement Stopper Militão has for his part of course been sidelined since back in early November last year. This comes after the Brazilian, just over a year on from suffering a ruptured ACL in his left knee, was condemned to another lengthy spell out of action by way of the same injury in his right knee. Despite the devastating nature of the setback, Militão is understood to be enjoying a solid recovery, ahead of schedule in his efforts to return to the grass. Some outlets, in fact, had gone as far as to point towards the possibility of the former Porto man playing his part in this summer's Club World Cup. Advertisement This, however, will not be the case. Militao Returns to Real Madrid Training
Follow-up - INA Spanish press reports confirmed on Wednesday that Brazilian defender Eder Militao is close to returning to Real Madrid training. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," the player is making significant progress in his recovery and is expected to join the team's group training after the international break. The newspaper added that "Militão's return to the field at this time was unexpected," noting the possibility of his participation in the Club World Cup, scheduled for next June. The Brazilian defender sustained the injury during Real Madrid's 4-0 victory over Osasuna, a major blow to coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was forced to rely on young defender Raúl Asensio. Militao has already begun light ball training and has shown significant improvement in his mobility, increasing the likelihood of his return to competitive action soon.

An altogether encouraging photo of Real Madrid star Éder Militão has come to the fore on Friday. Defender Militão, for his part, was of course condemned to another long-term spell on the sidelines back in November. En route to Real's 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Osasuna, the Brazilian international went to ground in evident distress, before being stretchered out of proceedings amid concerning scenes.
