India's Largest People Leadership Gathering Concludes with a Simple Truth: All We Need is a Great Manager
At a time when workplaces are evolving rapidly, the Great Managers' League Summit 2025, held at Tata Theatre, NCPA on 23rd of May, brought together over 900 leaders-CEOs, CHROs, Founders, and people leaders-for a day focused on conversations around people leadership. The summit featured a curated flow of stories, recognitions, and research-based insights without unnecessary fanfare or promotional tone. India's Top 50 CEOs, MDs & Founders: Senior leaders enabling people-first cultures within their organisations. Both recognitions are based on data from the Great People Manager Study, India's largest study on managerial effectiveness, using behavioral feedback collected from thousands of team members across organizations. Conversations That Went Beyond the Script The event featured a range of speakers who shared grounded, experience-based insights. Shaheen Mistri spoke about leadership rooted in service and education. Mimi Nicklin discussed empathy as a practical, not abstract, leadership need. Nitin Paranjpe reflected on failure, resilience, and the pressure leaders face. Additional speakers included Ankur Warikoo, Elisa Farri, Naiyya Saggi, Marzin Shroff, Aradhana Lal, and Amod Malviya, each offering perspectives from different industries and leadership styles. The day also featured: A session on Extra Sensory Perception by Deepak Rao A performance by the Infinite Melody Band, a group of visually impaired musicians, curated and led by Sunita Bhuyan These sessions were designed to explore leadership beyond frameworks-through trust, intuition, and inclusion. A Shared Reflection The most repeated line from the event – shared across conversations and designs was: 'In life, and at work, all we need is a Great Manager To Work With™.' That sentiment framed the summit. Not as a platform for trends or campaigns, but as a space to reflect on what truly sustains teams, cultures, and performance: everyday leadership done right. OHSRM unveils initiative to empower working women
MUSCAT: The Omani Society for Human Resource Management (OSHRM) unveiled 'Raya' - an initiative aimed at empowering women in the Omani workplace - during the last day of the OSHRM conference in Muscat. 'At the conclusion of its eighth annual conference, OSHRM launched the 'Raya' initiative, aimed at empowering women in the Omani workplace by designing an innovative, psychologically safe, motivating, and equitable work model,' the organisation shared in a statement. The initiative, according to OSHRM, is rooted in 'recent data to provide practical solutions that take cultural specificity into account, with a focus on flexible work arrangements, work-life balance, and the creation of equal opportunities.' 'It also includes training and mentorship programmes, workshops, and policy review sessions, in collaboration with educational institutions and local and international organisations,' the statement continued. Events of the third day of the conference included two panels. The first titled, "The Inclusion Revolution: Driven by Technology", explored the potential role technology can play in fostering equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It featured workplace empathy advocate and author Mimi Nicklin, Executive President of University Medical City, Dr Siham Salim al Sinani, CEO of Liva Insurance Hanaa al Hinai and Executive Coach and Leadership Trainer Dr Corrie Block. The second panel, titled "Excellence in Leadership: How Culture and Well-being Drive Human Potential," on the other hand shed light on the importance of workplace wellness and cultural empowerment. It featured Dr Ahmed al Banna, CEO – Origin Group; Dr Saud bin Mohammed al Farsi, Advisor to the Governor of Dhofar; Shabib al Maamari, Managing Director of Visit Oman; Sahal Khan, Senior Manager, Culture & Wellbeing at ROSHN; and Hanan alsaif, Managing Director at ZRG Partners. The event also included multiple keynote presentations addressing an array of topics including: digital mental health, leading in open spaces, cultural humility in leadership, and creating psychological safety at workplaces amongst other topics. The three-day conference and exhibition was attended by over 1000 individuals this year.
