Lidl is bringing back 'ridiculously' good bakery item — and it's only 89p
Lidl bakery is the nation's favourite — and now the supermarket's beloved Cheesecake Brownie is back on shelves, it's just got even better. Hot off the heels of the Mini Egg Brownie and Cinnamon Bun Blondie, this 89p treat is the retailer's latest limited edition bake. But fans will need to be quick to get their hands on one, as what the Lidl Lord giveth, he sadly taketh away, and the Cheesecake Brownie is only available until May 28. Amassing over 52,000 likes on TikTok, it was a huge hit when it was first released in 2024, with shoppers drooling over its fudge brownie base, cheesecake layer and rich chocolate drizzle. 'I'm not a brownie lover but OMG they are moreish, delicious, soft, rich, chocolatey, then a hit of cheesecake,' said Jenny Jacombs on Facebook. 'Grab one if you can.' 'These are the best things ever to come out of Lidl,' added Holly Hart. 'This is one of Lidl's best products, I'm not even having you on, I'm not joking,' said TikToker Gabe, while others said the treat was so good it was 'ridiculous' and that Lidl bakery is simply 'elite'. Some shoppers weren't too impressed with the size of the indulgent snack though. They are bl**dy tiny, delicious but barely half a mouthful,' wrote Mark Hoy on Facebook, followed by Tamara Dingle who claimed that although it was tasty, it was 'a bit small for the price.' However, given Pret's Chocolate Brownie Bar is £3.50 and Starbucks will charge you £3.60 for its Chocolate Brownie or Caramel White Chocolate Blondie, we'd say it's not bad value. And the excitement doesn't stop there either folks. Alongside this returning favourite, a brand new Strawberry Cheesecake Doughnut is also joining the Lidl bakery lineup as a 'guest star'. More Trending It offers a 'berry twist' with its creamy, fruity icing atop soft, sugar-dusted dough, making it the perfect choice for those with sweet tooth. What makes it even better is the price tag – you can pick yourself one of these doughnuts up for just 79p. But again, it's only available until May 28, so you'll have to get down to your local store soon if you want to try it for yourself. Do you have a story to share?
