Summer working hour regulations from June 1: Labour ministry
DOHA: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has announced the countdown to implementing the decision regulating working hours in open areas during summer, effective from June 1 between 10am and 3.30pm.
The ministry said as part of this, the Occupational Safety and Health Department is running a campaign throughout May to raise awareness about heat stress and its prevention in workplaces.
In Qatar, from June 1 to September 15, outdoor working is banned ifrom 10am to 3.30pm.
The ban is enforced as per the Ministerial Resolution No. 17 of 2021 regarding the necessary precautions to protect workers from the dangers of heat stress during summer.
