In a recent interview with Mirchi Telugu, Nani was asked to choose between two acclaimed filmmakers, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Mani Ratnam, for a future collaboration. While he had previously favoured Vanga, this time Nani happily picked Mani Ratnam, smiling as he made the choice.
About 'HIT 3'
Directed by Sailesh Kolanu and starring Nani in the lead role as SP Arjun Sarkaar, a sharp and obsessive officer of the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT). The film continues the franchise's dark and gritty tone, exploring themes of justice, trauma, and psychological crime investigation.
Alongside Nani, the film features Srinidhi Shetty as ASP Mridula, Arjun's love interest and fellow police officer, as well as

Speaking of its box office performance, 'HIT: The Third Case' opened strongly at the box office, earning approximately Rs 21 crore on its first day, mostly from Telugu-speaking regions. Despite a drop to around Rs 10.5 crore on the second day, it maintained momentum with an estimated Rs 10.25 crore on the third day, bringing the three-day total to about Rs 41.75 crore. Occupancy rates on May 3 showed strong audience interest, with Telugu theatres averaging 52.85% occupancy and Tamil theatres at 38.56%.
Fans on social media have given 'HIT: The Third Case' a largely positive reception. Nani's screen presence, swag, and portrayal of the character were repeatedly described as career-best. While the first half received mixed reviews, with some finding it slow or predictable, the film's momentum picked up significantly after the interval.
