Sam Choy's in the Kitchen: Breea Yamat, Miss Hawaii USA 2024

On this episode of Sam Choy's in the Kitchen, we're cooking with royalty—Breea Yamat, Miss Hawaii USA 2024! Sam and John take a look into Breea's fridge to see what dishes they're able to make. With just a few simple ingredients, they create meals that's healthy, hearty, and full of flavor. First up, Sam shares how to make a rich, homemade chicken stock using water and chicken bouillon, teaching John and Breea how to build a flavorful base from scratch. From there, they turn it into a comforting chicken sausage soup with spinach. The homemade broth enhances every bite, while the sausage and fresh greens add a delicious balance of protein and nutrients. Next, they take chicken to the next level with a surf and turf bacon-wrapped stuffed chicken. The tender chicken is filled with a savory spinach and shrimp mixture, then wrapped in smoky bacon for the ultimate bite. It's a dish that's both indulgent and packed with nutrition, proving that eating well doesn't mean sacrificing flavor. For dessert, they take apples to the next level with a quick and easy air-fried treat. Tossed in seasoning from Trader Joe's, the apples caramelize beautifully in the air fryer, turning soft on the inside with a slight crunch on the outside. It's a simple yet satisfying way to end the meal on a sweet note. With just a few ingredients, Sam and John show Breea how to turn everyday fridge staples into a meal that's healthy, hearty, and full of flavor. Be sure to catch Miss Hawaii USA 2025 on Saturday, March 22 live on KHON2 starting at 6: 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
