Calgary police are looking to the public for help finding a 14-year-old girl who hasn't been seen in almost a week.
Police say the teen, named Oret, was last seen in the 2200 block of Woodpark Avenue S.W. at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5.
Though there is nothing to suggest foul play is involved, police say Oret suffers from a medical condition and her family is very concerned for her safety and well-being.
She is believed to frequent the Marlborough area and the downtown core. Oret is described as 5'4'' tall (162 cm) and 123 pounds (56 kg) with black hair and brown eyes.
The case doesn't meet the threshold for issuing an Amber Alert, but police say they are working with the Missing Children Society of Canada.
Anyone who knows of Oret's whereabouts is asked to call the Calgary police at 403-266-1234.
Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
NOTE: The Calgary Police Service announced last year it would no longer be sharing the last names of those who are reported missing – or sharing details of whether any of those individuals are located deceased – as a standard practice moving forward.
