Ludhiana: Students in Ludhiana have delivered outstanding results in the ICSE and ISC board examinations declared on Monday, with several securing top marks in their respective streams, including medicine, commerce and humanities. The results reflect strong academic commitment across the city's top institutes, with students balancing ambitions in civil service, engineering, architecture, and the arts. In a dazzling display of academic brilliance, Sat Paul Mittal School has once again cemented its reputation as Ludhiana's academic powerhouse, sweeping the top ranks in both ICSE and ISC board examinations. From chart-topping percentages to all-round excellence across streams — medical, non-medical, commerce and humanities — the school's students didn't just pass the tests, they rewrote the scoreboard. With one foot in textbooks and the other in co-curricular glory, these Mittalites proved that discipline, passion and ambition make for a winning formula. In the ICSE (Class X) results, Mitali Sood , a student of Sacred Heart School, Machhiwara Sahib, emerged district topper with an impressive 99%, scoring 495 out of 500. The daughter of a grocery shop owner and a homemaker, Sood aspires to become a civil servant and credits her success to disciplined study habits and time management. "I studied regularly for 7 to 8 hours and avoided social media completely. In my downtime, I preferred reading biographies and speaking publicly," she said. Close on her heels were Jaismeen Kaur Sidhu of Sacred Heart School and Adaa Gupta of Sat Paul Mittal School, both scoring 98.8% (494 marks). Jaismeen, who lost her father to dengue in 2015, said she dedicated her success to him. "He always told me to learn deeply, not by rote," she said. She scored full marks in Mathematics and aspires to be an architect. Adaa Gupta, the daughter of a chartered accountant and a coaching institute owner, wants to follow in her father's professional footsteps. Her focus during school hours, combined with two hours of home study, helped her excel. Jain, who scored full marks in computers, also enjoys art, painting, calligraphy, and playing basketball. ISC (Class XII) toppers highlight diverse ambitionsIn the ISC (Class XII) results, Tarishi Singla of Sat Paul Mittal School led the district with 99.25% (397 marks). A medical student with mathematics as an additional subject, Singla aspires to become a mechanical engineer. Her father is an orthopedic surgeon and her mother a psychiatrist. Alongside academics, she has excelled in badminton, winning medals at the state and national levels. Dishit Matta, also from Sat Paul Mittal, scored 98.5% in the commerce stream and plans to pursue music production at UCLA. The son of two doctors, Matta said he deliberately chose commerce to devote more time to music. "I didn't study much except during examinations," he admitted. Kyra Pahwa, another Sat Paul Mittal student, secured 98.25% (393 marks). She plans to study economics and mathematics at Duke University, aiming for a future in multinational corporations and eventually her family's steel business. She also enjoys writing, baking, and painting. Commerce student Aadish Jain, also scoring 98.25% (393 marks), hopes to become an entrepreneur. He studied consistently — two hours by day and up to six hours late at night. A cricket enthusiast, he scored 100% in mathematics and intends to sit the CUET entrance examination.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) Wednesday announced results for class 10 and 12 board exams. Ludhiana 's Tarishi Singla, a student of Sat Paul Mittal School, Dugri, emerged as the top scorer in Class 12 with 99.25% marks in the super medical stream (which also includes non-medical subjects). She said that she wants to be mechanical engineer and has already enrolled herself in a Germany-based college for higher studies. Both her parents are doctors. In Class 10, Mitali Sood from Sacred Heart Convent School, Machhiwara, Ludhiana district, scored 99 per cent marks. She aims to crack civil services and said that consistency was the key when it comes to preparing for board exams. Among other top scorers, Kyra Pahwa, also from Sat Paul Mittal School, scored 98.25% marks in Class 12 non-medical stream. Her parents, who are into business, said that she has already enrolled herself in a US-based university and wishes to pursue a career in physics. From the same school, Dishit Matta topped in commerce stream with 98.5% marks and Shanaya Malhotra was the top scorer in humanities with 98% marks, Adaa Gupta, also a student of Sat Paul Mittal School, scored 98.8% marks in Class 10, followed by Anayssa Jain (98.6%) and Saanvi Gupta (98.2%).
