Broncos sign Super Bowl LV champion ahead of NFL draft

Broncos sign Super Bowl LV champion ahead of NFL draft Mitchell Fraboni will face competition this summer. The Denver Broncos signed long snapper Zach Triner on Monday, according to the NFL's transaction wire (via KUSA-TV's Mike Klis). Triner (6-3, 245 pounds) is a 34-year-old long snapper who played college football at Assumption University, a Division II program in Worcester, Massachusetts. He's been in the NFL since 2017, spending time with the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins. He served as the Bucs' long snapper from 2019-2023, helping Tampa Bay win Super Bowl LV following the 2020 season. Triner lost his starting job last summer and eventually landed with the Dolphins, playing three games in Miami last season. Triner now figures to compete with Fraboni for Denver's long-snapping duties this summer. The Broncos are also expected to have a punter competition at training camp. Also on the NFL's transaction wire: tight end Thomas Yassmin has once again been designated as an International Player for the 2025 campaign. The Australian-born tight end will not count against the team's 90-man offseason roster limit, and if he makes the practice squad, he would not count against the 16-player limit. Denver kicked off its offseason program on Monday. Next up on the offseason calendar is the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26. These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans

NFL free agency: What punters are left for the Broncos?

NFL free agency: What punters are left for the Broncos? New Denver Broncos special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has his place kicker set in Wil Lutz and the team just re-signed long snapper Mitchell Fraboni, but Rizzi and Co. will have to find a new punter in 2025. The Broncos "fell short" in their negotiations with in-house punter Riley Dixon, who has agreed to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a two-year, $6 million deal. After losing Dixon, the Broncos turned their attention to Bryan Anger, but he opted to instead return to the Dallas Cowboys on a two-year, $6.4 million contract. Denver "went hard" after Anger but wasn't able to get a deal done, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. So after missing out on Dixon and Anger, which punters are left for the Broncos? The Tennessee Titans have opted not to tender Ryan Stonehouse after agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with Johnny Hekker. Tennessee made that move after the Carolina Panthers brought in Sam Martin and let Hekker walk in free agency. Fans in Denver might remember Stonehouse (25) from his time at CSU. He is now the most notable free agent punter on the market. Michael Palardy (32) and Pat O'Donnell (34) are also available, but they would be short-term solutions. Alabama's James Burnip is the most notable punter in this year's NFL draft class. Denver might also consider punters from the United Football League after the UFL season wraps up in June (the Broncos, after all, found long snapper Mitchell Fraboni in the USFL in 2022). It wouldn't be surprising to see Denver bring multiple punters to training camp for a competition this summer. Elsewhere on the special teams front, the Broncos are adding wide receiver Trent Sherfield on a two-year deal. He figures to play a key role on special teams after the team lost cornerback Tremon Smith to the Houston Texans during NFL free agency. We will continue to track all of Denver's free agency moves on Broncos Wire. These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans

Broncos re-sign long snapper Mitchell Fraboni to 3-year deal

Broncos re-sign long snapper Mitchell Fraboni to 3-year deal The Denver Broncos are re-signing long snapper Mitchell Fraboni to a three-year, $4.175 million contract, Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team first reported on Sunday evening. Fraboni (6-2, 223 pounds) was a long snapper and defensive end in college at Arizona State. After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft, Fraboni stayed in football shape and competed in The Spring League in 2020. He had a brief stint with the Houston Texans in 2021, but did not make the roster. Fraboni then impressed in the USFL with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the spring of 2022, catching the attention of the Broncos. Denver signed Fraboni to its practice squad midway through the 2022 season and he was later called up to the game-day roster while Jacob Bobenmoyer was injured. Bobenmoyer left the team during free agency the following spring and Fraboni took over as the full-time long snapper. Fraboni has snapped 34-straight games for the Broncos with few mishaps. He is now set to continue in that role for the next three seasons. These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans
