Coles joins Woolworths and Aldi in major salad recall amid contamination fears

Coles has joined Woolworths and Aldi in pulling salad products from the shelves amid concerns customers who consume them could become unwell. The warning now extends to stores in northern New South Wales and several more products. The feared contamination, E. coli-STEC can cause diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting, which can last for up to 10 days. "Consumers should not eat this product," Food Standards Australia New Zealand said. Shoppers who purchased the product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
