Mobis India Launches Nationwide Awareness Campaign - "Ask for Genuine, Ask for Hyundai Mobis"

The campaign aims to educate Hyundai car owners about the importance of using only certified genuine parts manufactured and/or distributed by Mobis India Limited. Originally introduced in June 2024, the campaign had received an overwhelming engagement and positive response from customers and service professionals. Building on that success, this year's campaign is more interactive and far more expansive, with a focus on deeper engagement across digital platforms, service networks, and customer touchpoints. The goal is to ensure every Hyundai owner is aware of the importance of genuine parts and can confidently make the right choice during service and repairs. The campaign highlights that while counterfeit parts may seem cheaper upfront, they lead to long-term costs such as vehicle breakdowns, poor performance, safety risks, and lower resale value. In contrast, Hyundai Genuine Parts by Mobis India are engineered and certified by Hyundai Motor Group to meet original manufacturing standards, offering Safety, Quality, Reliability, Durability, and a Guaranteed Fit. Mobis India unveils EV battery assembly plant at Sriperumbudur
Mobis India Limited, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and a part of global automotive component supplier, inaugurated its EV Battery System Assembly (BSA) Plant at Sriperumbudur. Spanning across 8.15 acres, the plant is located adjacent to HMIL's car manufacturing facility. The plant has an initial installed capacity of 36,000 units per annum, which is designed to meet the growing demand for electric mobility, and is scalable to a capacity of 75,000 units. The facility will create 255 direct and indirect employment opportunities, according to the company. High-performance battery systems will be assembled at the facility for electric vehicles manufactured in India. Hyundai Creta Electric would be the first EV to be equipped with battery packs assembled at this plant and Mobis India Limited is looking to support Hyundai's strong push toward localised EV production. Currently, the plant produces NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) battery packs, and it will be able to support LFP (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) battery production soon. T R B Rajaa, Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion & Commerce, Government of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the facility. Park Ki Chul, Managing Director, Mobis India Limited, said, 'This new EV Battery System Assembly plant represents a strategic leap forward in our efforts to support India's transition to clean and sustainable mobility.'
