Raya Airways expands Zhengzhou cargo route, strengthens Malaysia-China trade lanes

KUALA LUMPUR: Scheduled all-cargo airlines, Raya Airways, is boosting its Kuala Lumpur-Zhengzhou (KUL-CGO) route to six flights a week in a bold move to strengthen trade ties between Malaysia and China. Launched in September 2024 with the initial three flights a week, the KUL-CGO route has become a vital corridor for cross-border e-commerce, it said in a statement. With the soaring demand, Raya Airways' increased frequency promises greater access to each other's growing markets. "Our increased KUL-CGO flight frequency is more than just an operational move — it underpins the growing trade between China and Malaysia, with China being one of our major trading partners," said Raya Airways' group managing director Mohamad Najib Ishak. Raya Airways today hosted representatives from China Henan Aviation Group and China Logistics Group Global Express Supply Chain Management Co Ltd, underscoring the strategic importance of the Zhengzhou cargo route in support of the Air Silk Road framework under the Belt and Road Initiative. Raya Airways also strengthened its partnership with Balance Freight Sdn Bhd, a collaboration that continues to drive innovation and efficiency in regional logistics. As Raya Airways ramps up its footprint in Asia's air cargo sector, the airline said it remained committed to delivering service excellence in customer-centric logistics solutions designed to keep businesses moving above and beyond.
