Qatar participates in 72nd meeting of ACAO Executive Council

QNA Rabat Qatar, represented by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCCA), participated in the 72nd meeting of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) Executive Council and the extraordinary session of the organization's General Assembly, which were held over two in Rabat, Morocco. The Qatari delegation was headed by QCAA Acting Director Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri. The meeting discussed several topics related to aviation security and safety, and air transport in Arab countries. It also reviewed ways to implement the organization's strategic objectives, enhance cooperation between member states, and coordinate positions in preparation for the 42nd session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly, scheduled to be held in Montreal, Canada. In his speech, Al Hajri stressed the importance of Arab cooperation in developing the civil aviation sector, calling for revitalising work within the ICAO General Administration and accelerating the implementation of its strategy, which would contribute to achieving common goals and the prosperity of the sector in the Arab world. The recommendations of the extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the ACAO included support for Qatar's re-nomination for membership in the ICAO Council during the next Assembly.

Qatar, Dominica sign air services agreement

DOHA: A bilateral talks session between the civil aviation authorities of the State of Qatar and Dominica was held on Monday, under which an air services agreement was signed in initials and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that allows designated carriers from both sides to operate an unlimited number of passenger and cargo flights, with full transportation rights. This signing represents a positive and significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector, contributing to the realization of each country's vision in this field and their ongoing efforts to develop and improve air transport services. The memorandum was signed by In Charge of Managing Qatar Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri and Minister of Tourism and International Transport of Dominica HE Denise Charles.
