Muharraq's Red Wall Rises Again in Crown Prince Cup Classic
TDT | Manama Muharraq Club wrapped up a stellar season by beating Dar Kulaib 3-1 to win the Crown Prince Volleyball Cup on Tuesday night at Isa Bin Rashid Arena in Riffa. Fresh off their league title, this win marks a historic double for the team and had the crowd on their feet. It's Muharraq's 14th Crown Prince Cup, adding to their record as the competition's most successful side, and it ends a 12-year wait for this trophy. The cup's new 'golden edition' couldn't have asked for a better first champion—Muharraq have been the team to beat all year. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representing His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, presented the trophy to Muharraq's squad, who've had a brilliant campaign. The match was a good battle, with sets at 25-19, 21-25, 25-21, and 25-23. Mahmood Al Afia ran the show for Muharraq, setting up strong attacks from Jakob, Nasser Anan, and Sayed Hashim Isa. Abbas Al Khabbaz and Mohammed Omar were solid at the net, keeping Dar Kulaib's Mahmood Abdulwahid and Tomislav at bay. Shaikh Mohammed gave a shoutout to the Bahrain Volleyball Association for a well-run tournament, noting how the players' effort and the fans' energy show the sport's growth in Bahrain. For Muharraq, this win caps a memorable season—league and cup, plus a 14th Crown Prince title. As they lifted the trophy, it was clear their legacy in Bahraini volleyball just got stronger.

HRH Prince Salman visits majlises
HRH Prince Salman was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy. HH Lieutenant Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the longstanding strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, underscoring the depth of their multisectoral collaboration. His Highness noted the Kingdom's commitment, under the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, to further strengthening bilateral ties and achieving shared aspirations. His Highness underscored the development of relations between Bahrain and the UK across various sectors and the mutual commitment to advancing cooperation for the benefit of both Kingdoms. During the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral relations, issues of common interest, and regional and global developments were discussed. Lieutenant Colonel Royal Marines Simon Cole, the Defence attaché at the British Embassy, attended the meeting.

Folk Poetry Society Celebrates 24th Anniversary of National Action Charter with Hala Bil Mithaq Festival
Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Folk Poetry Society organised the fourth edition of the Hala Bil Mithaq festival in celebration of the 24th anniversary of the National Action Charter. According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, praised the Folk Poetry Society for its dedication to hosting this annual event. The festival commemorates a significant milestone in the nation's history and showcases Bahrain's achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister underscored the support of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman, particularly in promoting creativity in popular poetry, which is a vital part of Bahrain's cultural identity. Dr. Al Noaimi emphasized the role of poetry in reflecting national sentiment and loyalty to the leadership of His Majesty the King. Additionally, the minister acknowledged the poets for their performances at the festival and praised the involvement of poets from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which highlights the strong ties between the GCC states.
