The Coordination Framework commends Iraq for hosting the Arab Summit
The coordination framework on Tuesday commended the government's efforts in hosting the Arab summit, stressing that Iraq's success in organizing the summit reflects its pivotal position in the Arab and regional oceans, this came during the regular meeting of the framework No. (228), which was held in the office of the First Deputy Speaker of the parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani. A statement issued by the coordination framework, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the coordination framework held its regular meeting No. 228 in the office of the First Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Mohsen al-Mandalawi, and in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani." He continued: "At the beginning of the meeting, the participants blessed Iraq's success in hosting the Arab summit, confirming Iraq's pivotal role in the Arab and regional oceans."

Baghdad-INA First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi affirmed on Sunday the House of Representatives' intention to amend the Environmental Protection and Improvement Law in proportion to the scale of environmental challenges The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "First Deputy Speaker Mohsen Al-Mandalawi received in his office the Minister of Environment, Halo Al-Askari, the Technical Advisor, Dr. Ammar Jaber, and the Director General of the Environmental Awareness and Media Department, Amir Ali Al-Hassoun, to strengthen joint cooperation between the legislative authority and the ministry on environmental issues and to review the extent of the risks and challenges facing the country in this sensitive field." According to the statement, Al-Mandalawi affirmed that "the House of Representatives is keen to support environmental plans and is determined to introduce amendments commensurate with the scale of threats to the Environmental Protection and Improvement Law to advance this important sector. He called on national forces to include programs to improve the environment, combat climate change, and implement sustainability concepts within their electoral programs and pledges, and to involve civil society and international organizations in supporting environmental efforts as a collective responsibility." For his part, the Minister of Environment, according to the statement, highlighted the importance of maintaining communication between the Ministry and the legislative authority, headed by its chairmanship and its relevant committees, to contribute to updating important environmental legislation to keep pace with global developments in this regard.

First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi affirmed on Monday that the Anfal crime is a deep national wound. In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Mandalawi said, "The Anfal crime committed by the Ba'athist regime against the Kurdish people 37 years ago was not merely a military operation, but a dark page in the history of tyranny and oppression. Internationally prohibited weapons were used to commit genocide against innocent people, in an unforgettable scene of pain and betrayal." He added, "What happened in Anfal is not merely a painful past, but rather a moral and national responsibility that requires us to document the facts, stand with the victims and their families, and work to achieve justice and restore dignity."
