NIA cracks down on terror network of Hizb-ut-Tahrir in MP, Rajasthan
Bhopal/Jaipur: NIA on Saturday raided three locations in MP's Bhopal and two in Rajasthan's Jhalawar as part of its probe into a terror conspiracy by the banned radical outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT), which is accused of radicalising Muslim youth and attempting to forge links with global terror networks such as ISIS. The extensive searches were triggered by the data recovered from the mobile phone of Mohsin Khan --- a key conspirator, financier, and recruiter for HuT in India --- who was arrested by NIA in Bhopal last week. The information led to the identification of another suspect in Jhalawar's Manohar Thana town. "Mohsin Khan motivated Muslim youth to spread violence in a bid to overthrow India's democratically elected govt and establish an Islamic state governed by Shariah law through the creation of a Caliphate," said an NIA source. NIA seized digital devices and incriminating materials during coordinated search operations at Aishbagh, Ashoka Garden, and the Shahjahanabad area in Bhopal, as well as a house in Kaji Chowk and a shop near Jama Masjid in Jhalawar. The recovered devices are being sent for forensic analysis to gather further evidence related to the conspiracy. "The case, registered by the NIA as part of its efforts to dismantle various terrorist and radical networks attempting to spread mayhem across the country, relates to HuT's conspiracy to radicalise and recruit vulnerable Muslim youth," NIA said in a release. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Pinga-Pinga e HBP? Mohsin faces multiple charges of sexual assault, fraud at Indore shooting academy
Indore: Mohsin Khan, the owner of a shooting academy, who is already facing eight serious charges of gang rape, rape, molestation, and cheating involving female students at his academy, along with two other accomplices, was produced before the court on Monday and attacked brutally by the locals. "The accused was produced before the court and taken on police remand," said ACP Shivendu Joshi. Mohsin Khan, owner and chief coach at a private shooting academy in Indore, was arrested amid a storm of allegations involving sexual harassment, molestation, rape, gang rape, fraud, and intimidation. In late May, police charged Mohsin in connection with complaints from a 20-year-old former trainee who accused him of molestation during rifle training between 2021 and November 2023. She alleged he threatened to derail her shooting career when she resisted. Two other women—a 24-year-old ex-student claiming rape and blackmail, and a 32-year-old former employee alleging caste-based harassment—also filed FIRs. Authorities recovered over 100 explicit videos from Mohsin's mobile, showing forced kissing and inappropriate touching, further substantiating the allegations. On May 27, a fifth FIR was registered, accusing Mohsin and two associates of gang-raping a minor during the 2020 lockdown, accompanied by forced religious conversion, threats, and captivity—triggering new layers of criminal scrutiny. He also faces charges under IPC sections 420, 506, and 406 for fraud and intimidation, including promises of shooting gear in exchange for large sums of money. Mohsin was held in custody as investigators examined digital evidence, financial records, and victim testimonies.

A man from Indore approached Annapurna police with a complaint against Mohsin, accusing him of cheating under the guise of training his son for national-level shooting competitions. The man's son, a Class 9 student, was recommended for training by the school's sports teacher, who claimed that Mohsin could help the boy win medals at the national level. He sent Rs 1.4 lakh in cash to Mohsin at the academy on April 2, 2025, for the equipment. Additionally, he paid a monthly training fee of Rs 8,600. After several follow-ups, the equipment was never delivered, and training sessions never commenced. Each time the man approached Mohsin to inquire about starting the training, he was given vague excuses. When he demanded a refund, Mohsin reportedly kept avoiding and failed to return the money. On Wednesday, a new video vent viral on social media in which Mohsin is seen confessing to having relationships with several girls, not only from Indore but also from other districts. Police have taken Mohsin into custody on a seven-day remand. DCP Rishikesh Meena on Monday interrogated Mohsin for nearly four hours. During questioning, Mohsin reportedly admitted that he had maintained friendly relations with several students and was under financial stress. According to officials, Mohsin had faced partial bankruptcy during Covid-19 lockdown period when all operations came to a halt. "He accepted that unable to recover financially, he borrowed money from multiple individuals but failed to repay them. This financial strain, coupled with pressure from the property owner to vacate the premises led him to plan the closure of the shooting academy. He was arrested before he could flee," said Meena. Mohsin's brother Imran, who is a co accused in a gangrape case, was arrested on Tuesday night. He had been hiding at his in-laws' house in Khajrana. He has been remanded in police custody by the court until June 1.
