St Brendan's Church Hall's long-established Monday Club hosted its annual Easter Bonnet Tea. Members of the community gathered to showcase their creativity and celebrate the season with homemade cakes, laughter, and of course, their Easter bonnets. ‌ Participants enjoyed a delightful afternoon of tea and conversation. Provost of North Lanarkshire Kenneth Duffy was the guest judge during the tea. He expressed his admiration for the event and the community engagement it fosters. He said: 'The Easter Bonnet Tea is a wonderful tradition that embodies the spirit of community and creativity. It's heartening to see so many people coming together. 'Events like this not only celebrate the joy of Easter but also strengthen the connections within our community. Well done to everyone who participated!' The Monday Club, which has been serving the local community for years, is a cherished hub where residents gather weekly for companionship, conversation, and various activities tailored to support social well-being. ‌ Meetings are held every Monday at St Brendan's Church Hall in Muirhouse from 1pm and all are welcome to join. The club invites anyone interested to come along and part of this friendly group.
