Lucky lottery player wins life-changing prize in Virginia. ‘My eyes came out!'
A Virginia lottery player won a life-changing jackpot from an online game, lottery officials said.
Samer Jarrah remembers thinking 'maybe I'm going to get some luck today,' he told lottery officials.
Then, he won a jackpot in the Monopoly Super Spin worth more than $2.8 million, the Virginia Lottery said in a May 29 news release.
'My eyes came out!' he told lottery officials when he claimed his prize.
Jarrah said he felt so light he was going to fly, the lottery said.
The odds of winning a jackpot in the Monopoly Super Spin vary by ticket price, which ranges between 50 cents and $50, according to the game's web page. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.88, the lottery said.
The estimated jackpot as of May 29 is more than $1.2 million, lottery officials said.
