DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A Dayton man has been charged with vehicular homicide after a stolen vehicle crash killed a person last August.
The Montgomery County Grand Jury has indicted Rustam Suleymanov, 49 on several counts related to a fatal crash that occurred on Aug. 24, 2024.
Suleymanov was indicted on the following charges:
One count of involuntary manslaughter
One count of aggravated vehicular homicide (under suspension)

Riverside officers first responded to the 3100 block of Old Troy Pike on reports of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, they found the defendant had crashed a stolen Nissan Pathfinder into a Chevy Impala head-on.

The driver of the Impala, identified as 54-year-old Michael L. Jumper, was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigation revealed Suleymanov had stolen the Nissan just minutes earlier and had been driving nearly 100 miles per hour in a 40 MPH zone. Evidence gathered showed he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, overcorrected and hit the Impala at more than 70 MPH.
Court records also show Suleymanov had never had a valid driver's license.
A warrant has been issued for the defendant's arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, April 22.
