Tecnica Group, the parent company of Moon Boot and Nordica, has named former Adidas executive Andrea Dorigo as the new chief executive officer of the company. According to the Italian outdoor footwear and winter sports equipment company, Dorigo's expertise in managing complex organizations, enhancing performance, and implementing multichannel strategies will be instrumental in the next chapter of Tecnica Group, which aims to maximize the strength of its brand portfolio while fostering growth and sustainable development. Zoppas will continue to support the Zanatta family as a strategic advisor, the company said. Alberto Zanatta, president of Tecnica Group, thanked Zoppas in a statement on Wednesday. 'Tecnica Group has undergone a significant transformation under the leadership of Giovanni Zoppas, a journey that has enabled us to achieve ambitious goals and solidify our position in the global market,' Zanatta said. 'We extend our deepest gratitude to him for his professionalism, friendship and dedication.' Dorigo joins Tecnica Group from Adidas, where he served as senior vice president of global retail since 2023. Prior to joining Adidas, Andrea was head of global retail for the Estēe Lauder Companies in New York. He started his career as management consultant at McKinsey & Co in Italy and then joined Luxottica (now EssilorLuxottica) taking leadership roles of increasing responsibility in Europe and North America, eventually becoming president of its North America wholesale division and then global president for the Oakley brand. He also worked for Brooks Brothers where he was president of North America.
