BottleRock 2025: Benson Boone serves up Moonbeam ice cream inspired by new single
Benson Boone's first backflip of BottleRock Napa Valley didn't take place during his festival set. Nor did it occur in a flashy jumpsuit. Instead, the pop singer, simply donning jeans and a T-shirt, performed his signature move at the closing of his debut on BottleRock's Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage on Saturday, May 24. Boone joined Green Day drummer Tré Cool and 'Righteous Gemstones' star Adam Devine, who constructed massive seafood rolls, to dish up Moonbeam ice cream. The dessert is a nod to his latest single, 'Mystical Magical.' It's unclear where Boone got the idea for Moonbeam ice cream, but the day before the song dropped, he teased the release on Instagram with a photo of him holding a purple pint of ice cream labeled 'Benny's Moonbeam Ice Cream.' Moonbeam ice cream then started trending on social media with fans and ice cream shops releasing their interpretations of the icy treat. Most feature unconventional combinations of ingredients for a concoction that feels — you guessed it — magical and mystical. Some iterations contain glitter, bright pastel colors and swirls, but Boone brought his original recipe to BottleRock — which he admitted was his first-ever time making it from scratch. Man City deny allegations that Haaland hurt mascot, media reports
March 29 (Reuters) - Manchester City have rejected allegations that striker Erling Haaland hit the club's mascot Moonbeam on the back of the head causing injuries requiring hospital treatment, British media reported. The incident occurred before the home Premier League match against Southampton in October. The woman playing the role of the mascot told newspapers she was in shock after posing for a photograph dressed as Moonbeam when Norwegian Haaland gave her a playful knock to the head. She filed an assault complaint with the police and raised the issue with the Premier League champions, the reports said. "The club fully investigated and found that none of the evidence, including video footage, backed up the claim that an injury was sustained in the manner alleged," a City spokesperson was quoted as saying. "We're also aware a complaint was made to Greater Manchester Police and no further action was taken by them either."
