IndyCar Series complete race results today: Alex Palou dominates the field at Barber Show Caption Hide Caption Watch 'More Than a Race,' our mini-documentary on the Indy 500 Indianapolis is the 500. A.J. Foyt once said, "If it wasn't for the Indianapolis 500, none of you would've ever heard of me." The same might be said of Indianapolis. No cautions. No one can challenge Alex Palou. That's IndyCar in 2025. Palou, of Chip Ganassi Racing, feels no heat after starting from the pole at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama in winning his third of four races this season. Palou finishes 16+ seconds clear of the field in the 90-lap race on the 17-turn, 2.38-mile road course that features 80 feet of elevation change. How far out front was Palou? He had 63 of his 200 push-to-pass seconds available at the finish. "I was a little lonely out there," he told Fox post race. Race runner-up Christian Lundgaard of Arrow McLaren, who started 7th, is second in the season points championship but is more than a full race behind Palou. Team Penske's Scott McLaughlin, the winner at Barber the past two years, completes the podium. Scott Dixon improves 14 places and finishes 12th. Louis Foster falls 14 places and finishes 26th. For the third straight race, there are no cautions. The only laps run under a yellow flag this season were the first 6 in the season-opener at St. Petersburg. Drivers weigh in From Nathan Brown, IndyStar Race winner: Six pole position winners have won the 14 IndyCar stops at Barber Motorsports Park, and 11 winners have started on the first two rows). Expect Christian Lundgaard's Arrow McLaren teammate Pato O'Ward to start toward the front, too (O'Ward has made the Fast Six the last four years at Barber). Other teams will have a tough time working around them. The 1-2 finish Arrow McLaren personnel dreamed of at Thermal comes through at Barber. Something you might not expect: Felix Rosenqvist logs his first podium finish since joining Meyer Shank Racing. This isn't entirely unexpected – the Swedish driver has snagged top-5 finishes each of the last two races and four overall with the team – but it will mark MSR's first podium in nearly three years (Simon Pagenaud, 2022 IMS road course), coming at a track Rosenqvist finished 4th at a year ago.
