Police appeal for witnesses after man killed and woman flown to hospital after car rollover in northern NSW
A ute rollover on a quiet country road has left a man dead and a woman in hospital after they were pulled from the wreckage.
NSW Police rushed to the scene at about 3.50pm on Friday to reports the silver Ford Ranger had rolled near Elcombe Rd and Royal Oak Rd near Bangheet, about 90km east of Moree in northern NSW.
The 56-year-old male passenger died at the scene despite paramedics giving him extensive CPR.
The 47-year-old female driver was treated by paramedics and flown to John Hunter Hospital and is currently in a stable condition.
Two other female passengers in the vehicle, aged 9 and 25, were uninjured.
A crime scene was established that was later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to people driving a green, early-model dual cab with a flat tray that was last seen travelling north on Elcombe Rd towards the township of Gravesend.
Police are urging anyone with information about the crash, or who may have been in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage to contact Moree Police.
