Orlando Pirates find 'the new Tlou Segolela'

Orlando Pirates need to bolster their wide attacking options, with continued talk that Monnapule Saleng will leave the club. Tshepang Moremi is seen as a good option. Pirates want rotation options to avoid burnout for Mohau Nkota. 24-year-old AmaZulu winger Tshepang Moremi enjoyed a productive 2024-2025 campaign. He made 28 league appearances for Usuthu, scoring three goals and assisting seven. He's got pace and directness to burn. Pirates fans will remember another speed merchant, Tlou 'Gautrain' Segolela, who Moremi isn't dissimilar to. 'SABC Sport has established that Orlando Pirates are pushing to sign winger Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu, with discussions believed to be advanced and a deal now likely,' the report said. 'It's understood these talks are progressing with ease given the history between the two sides with previous deals during the transfer window as well as the mutual respect that exists among the two clubs,' Molefe added. What is there to know about 23-year-old Tshepho Mashiloane? Well, the versatile defender can operate at right-back or in central midfield. This will be a considerable boost for the Pirates technical team; although they have a strong squad at their disposal, both full-back positions are relatively weak spots after the release of Thabiso Monyane and Mako. With experience in the second tier, it's also hoped that he's ready for a battle. Click for a full profile Tshepho Mashiloane in action for Baroka FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. The all-action schemer made 17 appearances for Gallants in the league last season, scoring once, supplying two assists and picking up four bookings. Click for the story Is Moremi the real deal? Orlando Pirates to beat Kaizer Chiefs for talented PSL winger

Orlando Pirates are in pole position to secure the services of AmaZulu winger Tshepang Moremi. The 24-year-old talented forward was also in the books of Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs. This week, Soccer Laduma reported that the Buccaneers had secure a three year deal with the KwaZulu-Natal based talent. With Pirates likely to lose Relebohile Mofokeng in the next transfer period, it makes sense for the Sea Robbers to look for a replacement. 'We can say that this Orlando Pirates and Moremi deal is as good as done,' an insider told Soccer Laduma . Yes, it's believed that Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs were also interested in him but Pirates have apparently won this race. It's as good as done at the moment,' the insider added. The second source told the publication that the winger has penned a three-year deal with Orlando Pirates. 'Apparently it's a three-year contract. All the involved parties have agreed to a three-year contract. It's believed that all the personal terms between the player and the team have also been agreed. That's why Moremi's Pirates move is as good as done.' Another winger set to part ways with Orlando Pirates is Monnapule Saleng. The 27-year-old attacker hasn't kicked a ball for the Buccaneers since December. Orlando Pirates in advanced talks to sign ex-Kaizer Chiefs target

Orlando Pirates have been moving vigorously ahead of the next season with some signings already wrapped up. Pirates once again finished second to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Betway Premiership in a very encouraging season. The Buccaneers defended their MTN8 title, making history by winning it three times in a row. Furthermore they reached the final of the Nedbank Cup, losing to arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs . But perhaps, most impressively, after finally getting back into the CAF Champions League group stages, Pirates reached the semifinal. With this campaign proving to be the last under the guidance of Spanish coach Jose Riveiro, a new era beckons. Pirates are seemingly not waiting around to appoint their new coach before beefing up their squad either. There are reports of the Sea Robbers already wrapping up six transfer agreements. This before the market even opens officially. Last week this publication reported that Pirates were about to send a bid for Tshepang Moremi to AmaZulu. Now fresh from making his Bafana Bafana debut, Soccerzone now claims the two clubs are in advanced talks. The show also claims that all parties are confident that a deal can be struck. There is also a feeling that the talks are going pretty smoothly in that regard. Watch video below. Pirates are already blessed with wide attackers, with youngsters Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota at the forefront. There are also other options such as Karim Kimvuidi and the situation with Monnapule Saleng also hanging in limbo. It now remains to be seen if Moremi could be signed to replace any of the names above ahead of the next season. On loan winger Katlego Otladisa is also rumoured to be heading back to Pirates, but wether he will stay on, remains to be seen. Buccaneers, would Moremi, a reported Chiefs target, be considered as a good signing fir next season? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab.
