Suspect in custody following aggravated robbery in Fort Smith
FORT SMITH (KNWA/KFTA) — A suspect is now in custody after an aggravated robbery that took place in Fort Smith on Sunday.
Moriah Burrows, 25, was arrested by the Fort Smith Police Department and charged with one count of aggravated robbery. Burrows was on active parole for a previous aggravated robbery conviction from May 2025.
At approximately 11:21 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, Fort Smith police officers responded to a call of aggravated robbery near North 29th and North 6th streets, according to a press release.
The victim in the incident reported being approached by a woman driving a silver Ford Flex, who displayed a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect then drove the victim to a separate location where he obtained cash before returning to the vehicle. At this point, the suspect fled the scene with the money and his wallet.
After an investigation, police identified Burrows at a suspect. FSPD arrested her at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to the most recent booking information from the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office, Burrows has not been released from prison.
